First time I have every had ONE kill and been a battle Hero. Of course, I can’t remember ever having just one kill, but ok. 
This was a terribly pathetic match, I captured every control point without firing a shot as there was no one close enough to shoot at. Yeah, I could have done like the rest of the German clan and ran amuck looking for kills, but I was being lazy just taking control points after being tremendously frustrated last game. My one kill was from one of my level 2 Guerilla’s I had playing in level 5. Awww, one kill and a battle hero, something to be proud of…I think…

on the bright side without you capping the point the team might have lost so yea you did good man

At first I was getting angry at my team mates because NO ONE was coming to capture the control point, and I hate to lose so it was irritating that it took forever to capture it since you really can’t capture it on your own. So, as the match went, and I figured out that there was no resistance I just wanted to get the game over, so I sat in the control point waiting for others so we could end the game. No fun when there is no competition.

What you experienced by accident I actually practice on purpose: I don’t care about my k/d, and kills are actually secondary to winning the game. So I rarely run and gun. My strategy is to cap a point without dying, and the tactic that I practice to accomplish this is to find a good spot on the cap point with as few windows and doors in it as possible, put my back to the wall, and defend my position. Usually I only get a few kills, sometimes none at all.
I also try to get my bots on the point as well, and spread them out in various locations—just in case I get overrun by the enemy.
So… Don’t feel bad about only getting one kill. What you did was actually a valid method to win the game.

My battle hero award was for being the tactician, and I guess I got that for capturing all the control points. I absolutely hate to lose, so I am constantly cussing at my team mates (not at them directly but at my computer) for NOT capturing, or defending points. The match making sucks, but it’s even worse when your losing games that would be easy wins if people would only do the basics, and that is capture or defend the control point.
As far as game play, I have more of a Charlie Sheen in Platoon attitude where he was running around towards the end yelling “It’s beautiful man”. 
However being half blind in one eye I get frustrated getting killed by people I don’t really see on the right side of the screen. I have low kill to death ratio, but when on the offensive, I have found that if I just charge in guns a blazing I almost always get into the control point, with at least one of my squad members. The bad thing is the one that gets in is the only one alive so I have no help. Then all I can do is watch everyone else running everywhere except coming into the control point while I wait to die. Of course, when I order my bots to stay somewhere, it doesn’t matter they all seem to die somehow anyway, and not a one of them can keep up since I sprint everywhere and all my squad perks make my soldiers track athletes.
