I don’t care about pointless accusations of “pay to win”, it’s little more than an insult at this point as far as I’m concerned.
Increased health points perk is a terrible mechanic regardless of how it’s obtained. It only artificially increases the power gap between players. Just because it’s possible to somewhat circumvent its effects does not mean its existence is justified. That feature should not exist, it hurts everyone in the long run by driving away new players and making certain progression “choices” mandatory.
Same with direct damage upgrades for guns. I can imagine various ammunition types giving more stopping power, flesh damage and material penetration. However: 1) ammunition choice wasn’t exactly prominent during WW2; 2) specialized ammunition always has drawbacks; 3) we aren’t changing ammunition here anyway, we’re applying star enchantments.
Nope. Done it from point blank ranges a couple of times only for the player to turn around and wipe my entire squad. The code maybe to blame but it is what it is.
You can one shot premium soldiers with a rifle 9/10 times but then there is that one time you can’t and it is frustrating as hell. When facing a premium squad, you get one chance to get it right(as long as the opponent is competent enough) or else you are toast.
And there is of course the reduced damage with starter German rifles that make it hard for new players. One chance to get it right again. Which is why I would like the starter rifles to be same damage and reload. So that it does not give anyone an advantage
