It can already pen the panther frontally, it just does piss all when it does.
i’m talking about through the UFP
I’ve yet to pen the UFP although I’ve only fought on maps like ver-su-mer where the panthers hide hull down in the grey zone or are on a hill and steeply angled.
we could do a custom on an open map since i do own the panther in question

from what i gathered 23 shots hit, first one knocking out transmission, and about 10 went through but the gun itself seems fairly inaccurate with my biggest confusion being the fire that was set from what seems like a frontal non pen
I was rotating through targets pretty constantly.
First shot penned the LFP and destroyed the transmission from my view
As you can sefe from the picture above a lot of shots I sent through the turret face were showing grazing through the belly of the tank on the damage model, not sure what was actually simulated.
Last shot that killed you was through the LFP that hit fuel or ammo in the very back of the vehicle.

I liked it. Can penetrate Panther from the front easily and has normal HE against infantry.
it does and doesn’t, what me and ghost discovered is that firefly and go through the turret and LFP more reliably than m10 but the UFP remains untouchable
What is UFP and LFP? Frontal armor?
I tested it with friend - it can penetrate Panther in gun dot and turret anywhere.

I think the best tactic will be hitting gunner and / or panther’s gun so you will have plenty of time to destroy it.
Hitting gun dot killed radioman and reloader.
