The thing (it’s hard to tell if it’s actually a bug or intended) I’m about to mention has been around for the entire time I’ve been playing this game, something like 2 and a half years, and still no fix. And it’s not the biggest issue in the world, but it’s still annoying.
What I’m talking about is when you’re “extinguishing yourself”, the circle timer appears to show you how close you are to being “extinguished”. See image below.
But, after that circle has completed, there’s still this EXTRA half-second or so you’re on fire and still taking damage, for absolutely no reason whatsoever. See below video. It has killed/downed me more times than I can count, and is very stupid.
Solutions:
- Either demonstrate to players that this extended time you’re on fire for is intended, by extending the circle’s completion time to match that extra second or so.
- Or just allow players and bots to finish extinguishing themselves as soon as the circle is completed.
I would prefer the second option due to how overpowered flamethrowers are and how many players can basically run 8 flamethrower squads as a loadout now, but I’d even take the first option at this point.
What do you all think?
