…just something I came across.
Would be a great and very unique event unit for axis BR4/5:
Finnish Suomi KP-31 with combined flamethrower! This unit could combine TWO soldiers with this setup, two engineers and one AT soldier (total of five soldiers because of balance, more with the flamethrower setup would be an overkill).
Maybe some people know more about this hell of a (combined) madness? It looks FUN!

It was during the war. The flamethrower itself was being trialed in late 1944 before the continuation war ended, so it was cancelled. It was purpose designed to be attached to the KP-31(the logic was that would mean soldiers with flamethowers didn’t have to rely as much on others at longer ranges.) This source meantions it was combat tested in August of 1944, but I’ll leave how reliable the claim is up to you.
This weapon gets suggested very often, I imagine it will get added even if there isn’t a ton of reliable information on it. I mean, its so cool, how could they not add it.
To be honest I’d be daring and say that it should be a squad with 4 troops with the flamethrower, but it should have the 100 round magazine of the Italian para flamethrower.
The regular drum kp-31 is br 5, this variant is that gun with an added flamethrower. I don’t know how it could be justified lower than br 5 unless there is a big sprint reduction and I guess you lose your backpack slot.
Technically yes iirc. The flamethrower was simply attached to the barrel, so technically you could fire both at the same time but since it had its own ignition process/trigger you could only practically fire one at a time.
