I take an in-depth look at the recent news and make the argument on why we will see a Finland and Japanese Faction in Enlisted sooner then you think.
Video Here.
It’s only two guns that were both actually fielded by Germany and Soviet respectively.
they would not waste developmental resources on these weapons
its a sign they are working on japan and winter war
They “wasted” dev time on berdan II etc as well, weapons that really wouldn’t be used outside a one time battle pass.
I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Just because they need weapons in the game that aren’t all copy paste weapons doesn’t mean that the nations that made them will end up in game. Otherwise we’d have Polish and Czech campaigns, both of which I doubt will happen. Do I think Japan will be in game? Yes. Finland? Maybe. Doesn’t guarantee it though and it will still probably be at least a year before it does happen if it ever does.
there are dozens of guns that are not the arisaka and finn mosin they could have added
this is a clear hint
No, it really is not. We got dozens of Czech guns and those aren’t a clear hint towards a Czech campaign either.
except these came on the same day
its a hint i know you dont think it is but its an obvious hint at where they are going
Two same guns that are completely unrelated to each other? Yeah right. No.
they are related in that they are both the most important weapons of the two most requested campaigns
Tell me when the Germans used the M28 and the AVS-36? I can show you all the evidence that the Finns used them but none for the Germans. Also the T-50 being included is also an indication of Finland coming in.
didnt even notice that. t-50 is a big giveaway
This is a Soviet gun, being added to Soviet side.
Germans really used everything they got their hands on.
T-50 wasn’t really used in the Winter War. It wasn’t really used to begin with, with only like 50-150 or so being built.
Or that was just an addition for fun as a skill rifle that is common in most FPS games.
t-50 is an iconic winter war tank. it was in the movie and finland has one of the only surviving examples of it
yes its a dogwhistle
T-50 is not an “iconic winter war tank” - it wasn’t produced until 1941 after the Winter War was over!!
They were only produced in Leningrad, and served in that theater, which is how the Finns got the 1 that they have on display - and it is a later modification - maybe from 1943 or 1944.
Over 600,000 arisaka’s were purchased by Imperial Russia in WW1 - they were a major weapon for their army, and more likely they will be some sort of basic weapon for another Soviet campaign than Japanese IMO.
ok and movies totally have never taking liberties in terms of historical accuracy
Honestly if you think that we will be getting any Japanese or Finnish campaign within the next 3 years I will remind you we got Tunisia confirmed, Stalingrad in the files, as well as the fact that we have only gotten 3 campaigns in the past 5 years of game development.
the russians also bought tons of winchesters but you barely see them in photographs.
The reality is this is a dogwhistle. Its blatant.
And when i say “winter war” i mean the finish/russian wars in general. You are correct that the continuation war would be more accurate
Of course they wouldn’t. They are perfectly historically accurate. The Germans drove M48 Pattons into battle just like Hollywood portrays. (sarcasm)
I would bet money one or both are announced this year
Americans and british are going to be SEVERELY limited in content if they stick to europe and africa
Pacific will open things up big time
