Finally sorted freelook on ps5 with aircraft!

After about an hour of testing things, I finally fixed my free look so it did not affect the direction on the plane…

Freelook is invaluable to experienced pilots, it gives you much more awareness and it allows you to set up your targets better.

If you interested in settings I can share, but so happy that I no longer need to tie in to my direction, altitude and stop rolling unecessarily!

please do share friend.

Screen Joystick mode
Freelook: R3 Modifier L stick to move around.
You must put modifier for view to snap back in front.
Rudder: L R Dpad
Throttle: Throttle L stick L3 Modifier
This way you can look around, without changing speed
Airlerons: R stick
Elevators R stick
Flaps Up D Pad (quick press)
Flaps Down D Pad (hold and let go)

Had issues with getting flaps to work on other buttons.

Hope this makes sense!

it does make sense.
I have my rudder on L stick and my RB is the modifier for free look.
Pretty close though.
I have my sensitivities set up so that unwanted movement is minimized when looking.
Thanks for sharing.

@111841540 I was thinking of putting rudder back on L, as strafing and fast maneuvers for adjusting over target sometimes.

Could you explain what you did for your sensitivies when looking?

When you can could you tell me what you changed, deadzone or just reduced sensitivity of free look or rudder?

Sorry, for delay. I was out province/state and have yet to return back home. I’ll report back when I’m in front of my xbox.
Apologies for leaving you hanging .
