Anyone have any tips on how to destroy tanks while driving one since i’m tired of finding that my tank is loaded with rocks and explodes the minute another tank looks at me?
Look up videos of where to hit a tank to kill it. The internals of tanks are simulated in enlisted, so it is possible to hit their ammo storage or fuel tanks.
- Other tanks
- AT guns
- “Cook” you explosive packs - hold them in the throwing position - keep aiming at the tank - they will throw automatically and explode on contact killing any tank.
- 250kg and heavier bombs
If you have War Thunder installed you can check them there.
Another option is to load tank squad into practice mode and go for the tank range.
Or as was said above, check YouTube for guides .
Well, it’s all about you knowledge and experience.
-
Study the enemy tanks, learn their armor values and location of the crew. Most important is to know where the gunner is. Having War Thunder installed will make it much easier since models are pretty much 1:1 imports from it and you can study them there.
-
Plan out your attacks. Don’t go alone, stay with infantry as they are your main protection against AT Rambos.
-
Check map, look at the kill feed and try to figure out where enemy tanks are. More than often try to ambush them or fire from sides or back so the enemy would not have time to react.
-
Try to stay in open fields where enemies can’t craw up to you. Avoid CQ combat unless you have infantry to support you.
Stay aware of your surroundings. You’ll catch on but you will be able to hear other tanks coming even under the sound of your own engine.
Don’t be afraid to cripple either. You can always shoot their tracks or gun if you don’t have a good shot on them otherwise.
Depending on what tanks you are fighting. In moscow the general rule is, center mass upper front plate (not if you are in panzer 2)
This one shots all Russian tanks if you have a 75mm gun. 37mm may take 2 shots
I found this video quite helpful. I’m not good at tanks either and I decided to wait until I unlocked Pz III E before I started using them. It is immune against T-60s which are the tanks you will face 90% of the time of playing Axis in Moscow. Until Pz III E, I used the Stuka which is sweet af.
As others have said; aim for weak spots. The tanks in Enlisted have simulated internals/ armour so, much like real world armour, hitting certain areas will have much more devastating effects. The underbelly, top, and rear usually sports the thinnest armour; try to flank around or wait until a tank begins cresting a berm, then aim for the weak spots. Doing so gives you the best chance at penetration, this increases your odds of hitting something critical (like the engine block, magazine, fuel tank, or crew.
The best strategy is to find an avenue of approach that you know enemy tankers are likely to use, find a nice position with cover/ concealment (such as a tree line, or knocked out tank) and wait for the opportunity to spring an ambush. this is especially effective against players who are overly aggressive and like to advance without infantry support (much like real life, that’s a fantastic way to get killed)
