I am hopeful that the adjustments to the bombing runs will make them less frustrating to deal with on all campaigns. But I think there are some other interesting ways to allow the player to deal with bombing runs. One idea I have is to allow radiomen to also call in ai fighter planes to help deal with incoming bombing runs. I don’t think these fighters should necessarily completely destroy an incoming bombing run, but at least inflict some serious damage.
This could also help increase the frequency of currently somewhat rare air battles. Players could be incentivized to spawn in their planes to either defend their bombing run or help their fighters fully destroy the incoming bombers. This could create some really cool air battles that could be exciting to witness even from the ground.
