I might be known for being in a plane, shooting down fighters and keeping attackers at bay, but there are occasions people either get shot down once and never get in air again that match, or they see me, I don’t even fire… then bail… whilst I’m closing the distance, this is not people who bomb and bail, this is people flying about but as soon as they see enemy aircraft bail and don’t even try to fight back.
I understand not everyone is good at flying, but today it happened 8-10 times… where are the good flyers at? I know some of you… the time of day makes a difference too I think.
Enlisted pilots aren’t of the same quality as war thunder pilots, it’s easier to ask for a player to put down a rally rather than him being a decent pilot
I agree with you. I’m always missing enemy planes in the game. The more enemy planes there are in the game, the more interesting it is for me to play. I don’t understand those people who cry and say that they are offended by airplanes.
Good flyers are in a different game, the one where it’s a meaningful activity and not just free points from bombing. I’m guessing that’s why they instantly give up and bail when points stop being free - not worth doing it othrewise.
Just because you did, as many of us did in the past. Doesn’t mean it’s worth the time or rewarding either by the gameplay, fun, xp, what ever. Doing so.
And yes, I have dogfighted Alot in the past. And I still rather bomb run or rocket strafe and hit esc - suicide than waste my time refilling my ammo.
And tbh, I rather shoot a plane on the ground with a smg or MG or what ever and get the same xp when the plane eventually crashes than actually go my way to fight it inside one.
I got to a point that when I go to a refill point, I make almost no effort to defend my plane because it isn’t neither rewarding as xp or fun.
There’s another important point. Plane stats are limited in Enlisted: maximum speed is greatly diminished, so most of the times, a plane whose advantage is supposedly speed that is listed at around 700km/h will only go at 400km/h, more or less. Which means that the lower max speed plane who got very good turning speed will have tremendous advantages over the low turn speed, max high speed ones, as it too will reach around 400km/h.
So knowing this. Why even bother when it’s known your opponent use a better plane at dogfighting? If you’re piloting a high speed one, you know you won’t be able to shake your pursuer as it will reach same max speed, and it will always outmaneuver you thanks to it’s great turn speed.
In short: some fights are pointless, and ppl just don’t like giving others free xp. Gaze at our pretty parachutes.
I have played against multiple pilots in multiple planes, the flight characteristics are part of the fun at learning them, flap limits, when compression kicks in, the difference between an i16 and a p51D, I’m sure others enjoy flying, maybe they don’t post on here, but Reddit, some people are the ‘flowers’ I talk about… not willing to put up a fight, I would much rather have a good dog fight than be top of scoreboard sitting in a tank…
Flower all the way. Who in their right mind would stay in their plane when unbeknownst to them, that plan behind them is now spraying them from behind? Do you know who is behind you, what plane they have? You gonna waste 5+ mins of game time to ‘maybe’ prove you’re a ‘man’ and overturn a ridiculous advantage to your favour? You going to practically ensure you can’t grind more XP on this squad after bailing because you’re squad is dead? Even if you’re RP then you would never waste time like this, since you have no wingman to protect you.
So who in their right mind is going to play this game at a 95% disadvantage? My little kid son might play this because he can bring out a laser gun any time to overcome these odds.
I think certain players are all about their kd and scores, which in turn means they care more about kills on foot, or in tanks, but won’t actually RP a pilot if flying, they just use it to add a few more kills to their game and bail.
I think the whole someone on six is the best part, trying to shake them off, with loops, spilt S, immelmans, then get on their six, very immersive play at least imho.
I think you are NOT a flower as you stepped forward and admitted it, as for who would cover you, I don’t just fly to get kills I protect my fellow pilots when I can, just wish ‘cover me’ would work like ammo box request so I could see quicker.
I only fly the American fighter in Normandy atm as the German ones just absolutely suck for damage out put
