FG-42 Nerf Revert

We ALL know it, the reason the FG-42 is in semi-auto by default was to nerf it back in the day, but this nerf is no longer needed as both Americans and Russians, heck even the Japanese start with their weapons in auto by default, this needs to be reverted as imagine using a squad of German riflemen with this weapon, add an AT soldier and an engineer, then calculate the time lost in individually switching the soldier between modes, that or have a pre-battle weapon preset in which to set a pre-set firing mode selector before going into combat…

I think I would prefer them to re-work squad commands, so that you can give the squad an order to change settings, throw grenades in a given direction etc… Sure there would be a delay on spawn so you can 't pew pew straight away when others can, but if they’re going to put a dev to task to fix something, I’d rather they tackle something more meaningful I guess.

Im not sure, but does it work if you change soldier and change the mode to automatic?

try go a full riflemen br5 germany, change every solder to full auto mode and count how much time you waste changing it, now you will get it

So many soldiers died while i was forced to change to auto. I bet Soviets love my defenceless soldiers with their tanks.

no, it’s a waste of precious time for attack, it’s a direct nerf to Germany who need be reverted in the actual game pathing

Well I mean its just meh suggestion, not that bad rn when you can switch 9 soldiers’s weapon to automatic. But if they add, its a bit more time saving

It’s some minuscule barely worth mentioning problem that all of you love to blow out of proportion. Most engagements are better served in semi anyways. Only short and close range combat is best suited for full auto, and especially with full power round recoil

i think it would be better to just give it 15.3 damage or buff its recoil multiplier to 0.4. I don’t remember how it was the old recoil before the nerf.

IDK for sure, but don’t semi auto’s once you change them stay changed until you change them again? When I get new weapons I always try them out on the practice range before I take them into combat, and semi auto’s that come as semi I change there before I take them into battle. That being said, I don’t usually fight in level 5 with anything other then the Allies which all come fully auto, so I don’t know for sure they stay changed. So, if they remain changed then that is what I would suggest that people just change them on the practice range when they first get them and the problem is solved…Maybe. :thinking:
