I’m just wondering, was it expected for the FG 42 models with the highest RoF to out damage the Krieghoff FG? I just think it feels a bit odd.
Is it reallistic for these weapons to have such a high RoF?
Is there a chance for the faction as a whole to get weapons with high dmg and moderate/medium RoF? I do ask this because I really don’t find the mg 34 as good as people says, mg 42 is good but the 50 bullets mag is not that good for a weapon with that RoF, mg 34 with petronel mag is bad in my opinion, big downside for little benefit, mg 15 and 81 I do find these personally awful to use just to hard to handle at the point of being silly unlike Beretta smg or Krieghoff FG (god even the FNAB) I guess.

yes, FG42 (early) fired 900 rounds per minute, while late variants (FG42 II in game) fired 750 rpm.
Since we are talking about one hit, one kill weapons, the fire rate is not necessarily an advantage.
Sure its nice in CQC and in close ranges in general, but FG42 II is still the better weapon as its easier to control in longer ranges.
In fact I personally prefer the T20 with its nice 710 rpm fire rate which I find the perfect balance between fast fire rate and controllable recoil.
Well, is not much of an advantage anyway if it has a 20 rounds mag, more often than not in CQC I get destroyed while using these weapons because they just don’t have enough ammo to kill a squad if it is not all lined up running towards you on a berlin hallway, I would like to test how 750 rpm would feel to handle.
Even currently I think the Krieghoff to be the best FG variant in the game, anything above 600 RoF is just escessive on a SF rifle (my personal perfference), with the Krieghoff I can even make accurate shots whilst still holding down automatic fire, it’s great I love it. The buff would just solidify that, perfect for my preffered playstyle, I preffer accuracy over volume of fire, because a shot that can’t hit can’t hurt.
Really wished they didn’t up the fire rate cause it’s practically hard to use from even medium range like the FG42 is just going straight to the moon but congrats to anyone that can control that beast but it also doesn’t help that I play on console lol
