My stance for the merge may be an unpopular with the planned changes on the merge with a part of me may consider thinking about quitting this game entirely once the update with the worst changes go live even after all the money I invested gold for squad slots and battle passes, some premium time, Stalingrad full access and a premium squad. DF’s response to the squad carousel has escalated this removing more player choice and completely an insult to those who bought squad slots even with the premium squad loophole which is my Stalingrad naval infantry squad.
I’m pretty much neutral to the Stalingrad engineers since my Berlin engineer squad uses the same AVT-40 and didn’t benefit from the assault rifle despite I feel a bit scammed on the Stalingrad full access pass with how the campaign developed and small map selection.
I would be still playing the game for some events right now as long as the bad changes are not live yet but if the changes are live with too many bad changes or certain red lines are crossed then I may be forced to quit the game entirely. “For the health of the game” the new epidemic that’s been creeping on this game and some even blindly defend such reason.
My take: Current game doesn’t meet revenue goals of owner. Thus… change.
We should look for that change to be something that - even if it’s not perfect for each of us - is acceptable and will allow the game to grow and succeed.
Only bringing 2 assault squads +1 premium? If that’s not enough for you then I’m not sure what to say. If that’s what forces you out of the game then I guess you just should leave anyway as you must not like it.
The merge and BR system is already raising some red flags thats just made worse with the carousel changes. People have been suggesting better alternatives like theaters and limit only flamethrower squads and paratroopers to name some.
Honestly, really disappointed by the squad limitation. I am not against limiting the number of squad you can cycle through, but I am against the fact that anyone willing to pay money for a premium squad can just countourn this so called limitation. You will not be able to take three paratroopers/flamethrower/tanks/planes, expect if you pay 50 bucks. It is either you put a limitation on everyone or you don’t put at all. For me this is just a straight up middle flinger to all the f2p players. As a wise guy once said : everyone is equal but some are more equal than others…
all in all if people choose to use 3-5 squads of paratrooper due to how strong they are that a bad feature
each squad should have strengths and weaknesses, and choosing to use the same squad over and over is a game problem by
allowing such powerful squads
changes i would like to see that could fix the issue of the squad carousel issue seeing as flamer, assaulter and para squads are the issue
make flame thrower squads a 5 man sqaud with only 2 flamer throwers and three riflemen
make para trooper squads fall slower to the ground
make assaulter squads less flexible and remove engineers and AT from them
the main issue is that assaulter squads can use alot of smgs and still able to have engineers and AT making them a jack of all trades
flamer squads can have two flamers and a smg + engineers leading to basically the same thing as with the assaulter squad but with area of denial
and the para trooper just fall right on top of the point and can do every thing
I am not against people who buys premium squad, quite the opposite, without them the game would not be playable.
I am against a commercial practice that wants to “protect new player” by locking the ability to play what you want (and what you unlocked) to behind a paywall.
This is as problematic as pay to win.
Also given that new player won’t have access to any paratroopers squad (you know the squad that create so much debate to determine if it is OP or not) except by paying, I don’t see how they will be “protected”. People who bought the normandy paratroopers and also got the event squads from Tunisia, Normandy and Pacific WILL be able to cycle them and stomp those new players anyway.
They already showed that they do not care about people who pay for the game —> first they were selling FP-5 (premium plane in Pacific) and then they gave it to everyone as an event reward.
Flamer, assaulter and parasquards will only face the same enemy, because they are all squads suitable for close combat. It is not wise to rush ahead with snipers, engineers or anti-tank squads, and it is not their duty.
Of course, I mentioned a suggestion to increase soldiers for other squads before, but it seems that no one likes it.Some people say, "This is to make everything the same."Haha, it’s ridiculous to think that flamer, assaulter and para squads is strong and don’t want to add measures to deal with them for other squads.
Since some guys who like “diversity” don’t want more submachine guns in their squads, they should also shut up and clearly realize that they shouldn’t confront the flamer and assaulter.
The funny thing is that the devs themselves are running away from the essence of the game that they advertised at the very beginning and that attracted players. And now they not only kill the essential uniqueness of the game, separate campaigns, but also lie and take away our fun.
The situation with the Stalingrad engineers is an unforgivable lie that they sold and are now taking away for another controversial decision - the merger. It is impossible to trust such a company in the future.
current games: spam of assault squads with flamethrowers, a lot of phosphorus, molotovs and rush rush rush, little experience, the games end very quickly, hell this is boring
