Feedback/ suggestions - miscellaneous

Hello!

I would like to share some of my ideas/ things I noticed/ suggestions to You, dear Players (and Devs probably). Of course, You may or may not agree with me, it’s perfectly normal, we’re here to discuss and exchange informations, so feel free to answer those in any way.

  1. Add overhead markers for friendly troops - name+role (for example “rifleman” or “assault”) in blue color and in green for players in my own (pre-created or random) group - just like in War Thunder, because Enlisted is already using some of War Thunder solutions. Without this, it is quite hard to find each other on the battlefield - and yes, I understand - realism and stuff, but don’t forget that game should be also clear and easy in some aspects, so that players can enjoy main part of it - fighting!

  2. Add distance in metres to a longshot log - useful and sometimes really cool - when doing some extreme sniping.

  3. Markers - same as above - please add distance in metres to markers placed by players (just a little box with small font) to know how far enemies are. Another thing is to make markers more versatile - not only red triangle marker to indicate enemy positions, but for example green ones with an arrow showing where I am planning to move or something like that.

  4. Allow soldiers uniforms and guns visual modifications - “skins” ?

  5. Allow vehicles visual modifications - same as above, should be easy, because we already have it in War Thunder.

  6. Add an option to modify soldiers names.

  7. Consider working on bullet penetration more, because sometimes I can wallbang through a barrel, but no through a thin wooden fence.

  8. Allow creating smaller squads and entering the game with those plus improve ability to give orders to the currently chosen squad. For example, I would like to enter a battlefield with 2-man squad of snipers and leave one man safe behind instead of 3 guys following me to death, because after 50 metres they decide that I am too far - order gets cancelled and they go after me under heavy fire.

  9. Make remaining ammunition in magazines stack, so when I have 2 mags left - one with 5 and other with 20 ammo left, I am not going to accidentaly swap to the one with only 5 rounds remaining and die, just because I wanted to reload a full one before pushing an enemy.

  10. Add a clear, visible warning before battle zone moves/ shrinks - I died three times to the “zone” already, because I was trying to flank enemies all way around and then, bang, you are out of the combat zone, and even though I sprinted back to the safe zone, I never made it, because it deals a lot of damage and kills really fast.

  11. If I kill an enemy which was standing on a roof/ tower, his body often drops down through textures, but the weapon he carried and dropped, remains on the roof, so even though his character model has it equipped on the back, it’s not on the body.

  12. Make it possible to loot enemies bodies in search for ammunition or other useful equipment like med kits - if they havent used them up before their death.

  13. Placing markers from inside buildings is tough, they got stuck on window frames or walls instead being placed properly outside which creates misinformation.

  14. Grenades/ explosive satchels get stuck on window frames quite often when trying to throw them from inside - please improve it, because it is a very easy way to die/ suicide with barely any time to escape.

Those are the things that came to my mind for now, other than that game looks pretty, pretty good and promising. Have a great day!

I disagree and like how it is right now.

I disagree again, that game wants to be realistic and not a fashion show ala CoD.

I disagree, while I would like this Idea the problem will be the “freedom of creativity” in a bad way like fight with Obi-Wan Kenobi or Eva Braun… to much moderation would be needed.

I agree with all the other ones.

That was supposed to come with OBT, but for some reason we must wait a lottle longer.

Thats not how magazines work. Current system is better. Just use your ammo carefully instead of reloading after every few bullets.

I don’t think it is necessary. You can tell what is their role by looking at their equipment - Assaulter will have SMG, AT soldier his AT rifle etc. Unnecessary things littering the screen (you have all names and functions in the left lower corner anyway) But some kind of better marker above players from your group are needed.

That is already available for mortars because they need exact range.

You can enter battle with minimum 3 soldiers in sniper squad. Leaving them behind would not work because everyone would just leave their bots in respawn area and run alone to the battle. Right now they must be somewhere near fighting anyway.

But all historaicaly accurate - no golden STGs for every soldier

I would agree with maybe adding some Icons above solders to indicate what role that solder is or what squad is he from

I would not say that we really need it. Not that I do not like the idea of it but I just don’t want the UI to be filled with stuff.

  1. Allow soldiers uniforms and guns visual modifications - “skins” ?

Maybe, as long as it is realistic. I honestly already know that they will add skins because of Gaijin market.

  1. Allow vehicles visual modifications - same as above, should be easy, because we already have it in War Thunder.

Maybe, but that might also become kinda pay to win. We already had that fiasco where some tanks were literally driving bushes.

  1. Add an option to modify soldiers names.

No, H&G already had a similar thing and the last I want to see on a battlefield is being killed by IvanXxXYourMother69

  1. Consider working on bullet penetration more, because sometimes I can wallbang through a barrel, but no through a thin wooden fence.

Yes. Gun mechanics and penetration need some work.

  1. Allow creating smaller squads and entering the game with those plus improve ability to give orders to the currently chosen squad. Well, if you want to play specifically the sniper or be a lone wolf then the Lone gamemode already exists. But the removal of minimal units would be a welcome change.

  1. Make remaining ammunition in magazines stack, so when I have 2 mags left - one with 5 and other with 20 ammo left, I am not going to accidentaly swap to the one with only 5 rounds remaining and die, just because I wanted to reload a full one before pushing an enemy.

No. You have to be smart when it comes to reloading your weapon. Bullets don’t magically stack. BUT, they could add an option to stack up mags when you are outside of combat. Maybe something in the Alt key controls menu. Where unit will stand for some time and stack their ammunition.

Maybe. I just in general don’t support the idea of going behind a map to flank somebody. Mainly people use that to camp near enemy spawnpoints.

  1. If I kill an enemy which was standing on a roof/ tower, his body often drops down through textures, but the weapon he carried and dropped, remains on the roof, so even though his character model has it equipped on the back, it’s not on the body.

They currently seem to have no visible weapon drops. They should indeed fix that and add an option to pick your old weapon back up aswell.

  1. Make it possible to loot enemies bodies in search for ammunition or other useful equipment like med kits - if they havent used them up before their death.

If you pick up enemy gun it will already have the ammunition he carried with him. If you pick up the same gun twice the ammos within them will stack. Also you must understand that enemies most likley don’t carry the ammunition for the opposing side. Why would a german gunner have some PIAT rounds with him?

  1. Placing markers from inside buildings is tough, they got stuck on window frames or walls instead being placed properly outside which creates misinformation.

This is 50/50 Sometimes you want to point out that enemy is in the window and sometimes I want to spot the tank behind a building. This can’t really be fixed since it depends on what do you want to mark.

  1. Grenades/ explosive satchels get stuck on window frames quite often when trying to throw them from inside - please improve it, because it is a very easy way to die/ suicide with barely any time to escape.

Haven’t had much issues with it but I agree that hitboxes for windows frames are buggy and this has had me killed multiple times.
