In this video, Gun Jesus states that the Breda PG is the world´s first burst fire gun.
If a burst fire gun existed before the Breda PG, Gun Jesus would know about it. Especially the works of a weapon designer as famous as Fydorov.
But we actually already knew that the burst fire mode is fake on the Fedorov rifle:
There is no evidence of a 3 round burst rifle designed by Fydorov, yet it’s in the game just fine.
So much for historical accuracy.
Historical accuracy was just a cheap excuse to nerf Gewehr 43 kurz.
A shameless move after it had been in the game for years and many players have purchased them buying gold with their money.
IF a Gewehr 43 kurz nerf was necessary, it could have been nerfed by increasing its recoil or introducing a short cool down (after three shots the rifle would only fire after a half a second long time to prevent spam firing).
In fact Darkflow finds historical accuracy so “important” that soon 9 men Communist Chinese infantry event squads with specialists will storm the beaches of Normandy with Chinese BR2 rifles that have the damage of BR4 rifles.
That’s a lot of bias and pissing on HA just to please the Chinese players, while disregarding the rest of the playerbase.
It’s unacceptable to use historical accuracy as a way of forcing unpopular changes onto the playerbase, then completely disregard historical accuracy when it’s not convenient for the developers.
The expectations of the player base are simple:
- Return the burst fire mode of the Gewehr 43 kurz as a third firing mode, apply nerf if necessary. - Add the historically accurate full-auto firing mode for the Fedorov rifle (500-600 rpm) as a 3rd firing mode. - do NOT add more Chinese guns to the US faction, USSR or Germany. China must either have its own faction or Chinese guns should be used by as captured guns by Japan instead. - Make the custom game improvements that were promised months ago!
I think the easiest solution to a lot gold order weapons is to give us the option to sell this weapons and buy the ones we need before they remove the shop cuz there was a lot of changes Type 1 SMG was amazing when there was campaigns mods since they merged it it became another useless toy at BR III cuz first BR III has much better options and second BR III is just terrible for Japan so i really wish they give us the option to sell our gold order weapons and pick new one since there was so many changes
this double standard has really shaken my trust in the devs, I feel really disappointed. The worst part of this it even makes no sense, since Fedorov burst is genuinely not worth using.
I honestly don’t understand this, Darkflow added a historically inaccurate gun for Russians but ignored the 15 round AVT magazine for months, half of the playerbase is begging for that damn 20 round mag by this point.
Its so weird that they are biased in one matter than disregard the faction.
They should have done that before the weapon was rewarded to people, once they have it, it’s not a good policy to take it away.
This topic is called conundrum for good reason, there is no %100 fair solution.
I agree the devs foolishly cause problems that they need to solve, but I still think it should ultimately change
Yes there are players who, rightfully, get upset but I believe it’s for the greater good. We’re not 200% immersive and accurate but we should have some standards
People also keep claiming that the Fedorov’s Madsen mag is supposed to be 15 rounds, but I can’t find any proof of there being 15 round Madsen mags to begin with. Honestly feels more like they’ve shoved the magazine too far up, they should adjust the model tbh.
I wish I could answer but I lm not actually familiar enough with the Madsen as the many different variants can make it a little confusing.
Im sure someone else here does have the answer though, but he may not see this topic, it would be best to make a topic of it yourself if you are interested.
From IMFD:
“The original Madsen used 25-round single-row magazines; some sources also give magazine capacity of 30 or 33 rounds, while period documents and survive examples suggest that only ubiquitous used magazines capacity was in fact 25 rounds.”
And since the one in the game is the 1902 model, it makes sense that it’s only 25 rounds.
