Federov

Either make the Federov a Rifleman gun based off the fact it’s literally an Automatic Rifle and NOT an Assault Rifle
OR
If we’re being extra spicy, make it a BR III LMG as a direct analog to the BAR. Sucker seems similar enough to me and would be a huge boon for those of us with a little time in Commies and a LOT of time in Allies

Just saying making it an LMG as an analog to the BAR would be really funny, but it makes the most sense as an automatic for Riflemen seeing as it fires the Japs’ full powered rifle cartridge

Can the bar make the br 5 a rifle for the USA?
Сhange damage stats to 15.3. Dispersion and mobility are brought to the level of a conventional semi-automatic rifle like the FG 42 2

After all, this is exactly the Browning Automatic Rifle

Spoiler

and yes, in the USSR, Fedorov is considered an assault rifle

I’ve made that argument myself, but it historically was pressed into the LMG/SAW role due to a lack of literally any other option. Lol

And the USSR classified their citizens as happy under Communism. I think it’s safe to say they may have fudged a bit of their record keeping. Besides, it WAS a smaller cartridge to them. It’s still a full powered cartridge regardless

It doesn’t matter at all. colt monitor is literally an auto-repair, but someone wanted to make money.

In fact, I support removing the BAR from BR3 and adding some power, removing the penalty for movement speed and shooting accuracy penalty during movement, in order to become a rifle for BR5.

This may seem a bit unrealistic, but at least 9-men BAR is more realistic than 9-men m2.

As for Fedorov, we have been jokingly saying that Fedorov is actually the counterpart of FG42 II, even though one is an assault weapon and the other is a rifleman weapon. If it really becomes a rifleman weapon, it will be stronger than FG42 II. I think German players may not agree because Soviets has finally gained a comprehensive advantage in infantry firearms.

The German players were offended by the existence of the enemy
After all, everyone has a 100-round machine gun

Fedorov. Please.

So WW1 Fedorov spam on all maps in both early and late WW2 battles?
No, thank you.

I like to see this whole discussion from a role perspective - the difference between a STG44 and a FG42 is in its damage profile:

FG42 takes out in one hit
FG42 has crazy high DPS but is empty quick

STG44 needs more bullets to kill
STG44 has lower DPS and a bigger magazine

Overall I personally think that both weapons have more or less the same effective range - though the FG42 can be easier in single fire mode to hit at long ranges, while both being also excellent in close combat.

The real difference between both weapons is in DPS and how quickly you need to reload, so to speak the FG42 is a burst damage gun - it kills one or a couple of targets extremely quick, while the STG44 is easier to control your ammo consumption - which combined with the bigger magazine means you are less deadly against other players BUT you can wipe squads faster.

How does this translate to the other factions? This should be the real question. Personally I dont see the STG or the FG42 performing all that different in general, and I would wish that assaulter weapons should perform well in close range - while trooper weapins should be for longer ranges, but those selectfire weapons kinda destroy this type of gameplay.

Sorry, can’t spell half of English, much less foreign words. Lol. Thanks

The Assault Rifle literally bridges the gap between Infantry Rifle and SMG. That’s what it’s made to do. Of course it blurs the line between Assaulter and Rifleman

That was mostly for police use, although I wanna say a few were bought for military use. Could be wrong on that though. If true, it makes sense for it to be a Preemie Squad. Plus that’d make 4 BAR’s and one off on its lonesome as a Rifleman weapon meaning you could have 3 9 man squads, or some combo of them and Machine Gunner Squads all with BAR’s

Ive always thought the same. The only “comparable” rifle to the FG42 any series is the Federov, which i think the FG42 still has the advantage. The AVT 40 is in no way comparable to the FG42 and is more similar to the Garand in damage and recoil. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING can touch a spaded FG42 II. Its by far the best infantry rifle in the game and widly outclasses every other rifle in its category. Giving the Ruskies the Federov in the infantry category or a variant of it, would help give them a better fighting weapon for rifleman.

Fedorov doesn’t have that problem

Except you are wrong and the AVT40 is way better than FG42 with half the recoil FG42/II has

Well 5 rounds less is a factor nonetheless.

How so? Is there some hidden recoil modifier i dont know about?

Spaded

Apparently so actually. There’s a spreadsheet somewhere in the forum…

All guns have a modifier I think for FG-42s it’s 1 so what you see is the real recoil value but AVT-40 has 0.25 multiplier which means what you see all are 4 times multiplied
