Its hard to pick with so many rifles in game.
I will have to go with the iconic Karabiner98Kurz because it has the best iron sight in the entire game, German quality is simply the best.
Breda PG, SMLE and Mannlicher 1895 are also huge favourites.

This might be weird, but I really like the VG 2, standard fire rate, 10 rounds in a box mag, hooded front sight (my favourite type, with inverse being the least) and a cycle animation that looks so goofy, it could function as a melee attack; “In your teeth! While I re-chamber”
While we’re at it, DF, please make it have +1 mechanic.

Nothing weird here, it has high rpm and quick reload 10 magazine make the rifle surprisingly effective. The fixed sight for close range is not a disadvantage in this game at all!

If it is strictly rifle i would say the Type 38 Arisaka Rifle.
Looks cool.
I like the sights.
It reload pretty fast.

“Insane” is a bit of a strech… dont get me wrong, I also like that rifle - but all it does is increase long range damage to secure one hit kills.
