Explosive packs need to have greatly decreased blast radius and power, just like AT weapons have

They seem to be fine now. If the tankers inside the tank see the red glowing grenade symbol and drive off fast enough, they can counter the explosives. Besides, if a small pack of high explosives can destroy a tank, they most certainty can kill a large group of infantry. Explosives were and are used to clear debris and obstructions for infantry so their ability to destroy constructed things makes sense.

If there is still a problem with that, then they should be unlockable at higher tiers.

Hellcat is a meme tank, never seen anyone using it correctly or doesn’t die within 2 minute off the spawn… hell even scott is a better support tank due the fast reload howitzer

The M8 Scott should get the ranging markers that the mortars get so they can act as a better mortar and provide indirect fire (their intended role IRL)

Your tactic that you mentioned mostly work for fast tank.

Go and have a view on the squad upgrade lol. The most spammed automatic squad like mg and assaulter squad don’t need to sacrifice their mg or smg guy. Only less used squad like sniper, engineer , radio need such sacrifice. If they don’t even bother to bring them on MG and assaulter squad that don’t have such sacrifice, why will they bring them on sniper, engineer and radio squad?

I often see people using molotov to block entrance, and not everyone can magically spawn a flamethrower squad when he want.

they already got nerfed and are largely pointless and you are already better off having other things with you these days

breaking them even further is just dumb, they are explosives, not a fire cracker

rather explosive packs were reverted to how they were, these nerfed ones are horrible to play with and feels dumb

and yet its almost the only thing that I still see people carrying. Very rarely do I see frag grenades, on occasion I see molotovs. Almost never do I see impact grenades. WP is really the only other thing that I ever see much of and that’s when people have entire squads filled with them.

I probably have an explosive pack on most every soldier in 12 armies that are complete except I’m not finished with Moscow axis.

I’m not likely just just quickly switch them all to something else. I hope explosive packs are returned to the state they were until a few weeks ago and that the current state is a bug.

In my case I have every tank unlocked except in Moscow axis. Yet I almost never even have a tank squad in my lineup. I have AT squads and explosive packs. Both a bit of a mess right now but I will hold out hope for a fix. Otherwise I jump into a plane and take care of it that way.

well the opposing theory would be that most players have the end game anti tank gear and they prefer not to use it and instead prefer to use the explosive packs

I see people with high grade gear packing explosive packs all the time! They have Tiger tanks, Jumbos, p-47s, m2 carbines, fg42s,
YET they don’t have high end AT equipment?

Everyone just takes explosive packs because it mostly removes the necessity for AT weapons, which is the exact problem I put the suggestion up to resolve.

Many people will have constructed squads without AT and that can’t be changed. Another reason this suggestion is poor.

I am saying if they are going into a match with the intention to have the capability to destroy high end tanks they will prioritize high end AT over EP, however if they are looking to prioritize infantry combat, then of course they won’t be equipping high end AT and will settle for EP, and in which cases they might sprinkle EP among their gas/other grenades

But if a player has squad space to bring AT focused elite squads, they will, it just makes sense, and it might be their only or preferred method of dealing with high end tanks in the grey zone

running to the grey zone with EP can be a futile effort, but with high end AT they don’t have to

But… for many of us this decision was made months or years ago. So… at that time, EP were really solid. AT? Not until high end on certain campaigns.

Actually you CAN change it. Quite easily in fact.
