Explosive charges should be plant-able on the sides of vehicles above the track/wheel

yea true it would be a waste of resources to model the wheels to that level of detail your talking about, thats why if i was creating it i would just create a few hitbox spots on the tanks in locations that look like the explosive could be planted that when walked in enables being able to plant the explosive then cause im really cheap with the things i program i would just paste an image of the explosive charge on the spot it is suppose to be planted and use the already coded explosive charge for the timer and effect

In my opinion it’s still a lot of effort for a minimal gain. Like I said, the damage caused would be similar if not the same as with placing explosives near the tracks.

the damage of an explosive currently placed beside the tracks in total annihilation… its the reason i use one random soldier as a suicide bomber to take out tanks… the only difference with being able to plant the explosive charge is the strategy would be far more realistic to the tactics used in that time period… you send the quickest smallest guy to run up beside the tank to shove a bomb in its track so you can ambush it when its immobilized

Ok, it makes sence. But then it should be “anti tracks” weapons. Otherwise it would be too OP in comparison to the reality.

yea that would work just fine, plant it for a 100% chance to destroy track, but if you plant it a 2nd time it should be able to kill a portion of the tank team or just destroy the tank completely
