Explain to me how JU88 gunners can tear a plane up in seconds, but guns from a P-47 takes 10+ seconds of ammo somtimes to down them

This would be a perfectly fine reason, except all of a sudden 20mm become peashooters if mounted forward facing.

You are the reason I’m afraid.
It sounds like you attack from behind. That means the Ju88 gunners hit your pilot that sits behind glass.
While you, the rear of the hull at best. There is just not that much to break.
Attack bombers from the side or behind and don’t fire from a mile away, and they go down in a quick burst.

not really, i get Quick and Easy kills of you concentrate Fire on wings,tail or engines.

usually 8/12 shells (HE) do the trick

The issue is always with planes, desync. Players suffer from it, but AI don’t. So AI are hitting planes as you should be able to, but you cant.

are you engaging planes on a long distance? because if you do, that makes sense, parts easily soak up bullets. Try getting as close to plane as possible, and aim for engines, works every single time for me

(don’t forget it’s easier to shoot down light fighter plane rather than whole ass bomber)

sometimes bots just go crazy and take down fighters in seconds and sometimes they are so useless that you can dodge for minute or two and they do shit.

can confirm on this one, chased down allied bomber today, tail gunner barely did any damage to me and it’s aim was just horrible, and ended up shredding their plane in 5 seconds

All this discussions about airplanes… There is simply no consistency in it as the server desync is the main factor.
You can have matches where you tear apart airplanes as you should be able to do and other matches where you can shoot your whole ammo into the airplane and nothing happens.
