Why is the scoped MKB and Stg a Sniper class weapon and the Type 97 lmg a MG class weapon?

Should scoped weapons of any type go to Snipers so they have a huge variety or should it be on a case by case basis

Or should scoped weapons go to whatever weapon class they fit into. For example, the scoped MKB and Stg should go to assaulters
