EVENT SQUAD: "Create Your Own Squad"

A new type of event squad: The developers provide us with a 7-person squad with no soldiers in it. It’s up to us to purchase & decide which soldier specialties will fill the squad. Furthermore, you can choose up to 3 soldiers max of any specialty to fill the squad: For example, you could choose 1X engineer, 3X antitank (but no more, 3 is the Max), and 3X medics (but no more, 3 is the Max). Or, you could decide to fill the squad with 7 different specialties: For example, 1x engineer, 1x medic, 1x assaulter, 1x antitank, 1x sniper, 1x infantry, and 1x flame thrower. [ tankers & pilots cannot join the squad ]

You also get to choose which faction you want this squad to be added to.

The soldiers in the squad can choose to use whatever weapons they want, based on the options provided to their specialty.

The point of this squad is to provide you with near maximum flexibility in choosing which specialties to fill the squad. In addition, you also have the option to change the makeup of the squad at any time. Most of the choices in developing this squad will be made by you—the player (not the developers).

In addition, the two soldiers occupying the top slot & the bottom slot earn an additional 50% xp. The squad as a whole earns an additional 25% squad xp.

As part of the event, you can choose any 4 weapons from the old Battle Pass weapons to be used in this squad only—even if you already own them. In addition, for completing the event, you’ll also earn 50,000 silver to assist you in purchasing soldiers & weapons to fill the squad—and 100x appearance orders to camouflage your new soldiers.

Please suggest any additional changes and improvements that could make this a better event.

well, it sound cool in theory,

up until you go more in details.

outside from the fact that it would really become a meta and outright a balance issue on most fronts,

i’m also more concerned about the cosmetic front.
a complete nightmare just like current squads
( where for example, only few have gloves on the us side, only few have gray pants for exaple from the german army, and yada yada yada ).

and i hate to sound negative or what not.
but…
i’m not really confident they could do that either.

i mean, it wouldn’t be too difficult considering the APC squads that have already a surplass of specializations.

but… idk.

love to play with it.
hate to face any of them.

because 3 heavy mortarmen can be really annoying to deal with.
just like 3 flametrooper ( even though aren’t good as they used to be ).

on the other hand, it would be cool to play a medic squad with 3 medics, 1 or 2 engineers and get the full support squad instead of 5 dudes with no engy or riflemens. maybe some other cool combinations can be done with it.

but… again, not sure.

while the idea might sound good in theory, every squad type is unique in Enlisted that have squad composition unique to that class.
If I can have a mortar team and medic team in the same squad that will make both mortar and medic squads less unique, not to mention any balance issues that might come with it.

It’s an interesting idea, but as others have pointed out it has a lot of problems, besides the problems remember who we’re dealing with, lazy Dark Flow studio, I think this might be too hard for them to design.
Instead I’d like to see more flexible teams, teams with unique features with customizable weapons, just like the assault engineers.

You people imagine SO MANY problems with any changes in the game that never materialize, it’s unbelievable—except when it comes to nerfing. Nerf this, nerf that. That’s one of the reasons nobody’s playing anymore: A lot of the weapons are just useless now.

Half the player base were weeping when paratroopers & guerrillas were introduced into the game: OP,OP,OP… Unbelievable! It’s a fricken war game, weapons are supposed to work, and guess what: YOU’RE GOING TO DIE! Stop fricken crying about it. GUESS WHAT: Paratroopers were never OP (the player base simply refused to learn new tactics), and neither were guerrillas. And neither will be the squad that was proposed in this thread. It will simply function properly; unfortunately, your ideas of “properly” is something that’s been nerfed into the ground and made useless.

Well I would use 3 assaulters, 3 AT Soldiers and one pioneer in BR5,

While I would pick 3 assaulters, 3 medics or MG gunners and a pioneer in lower BRs.

Pretty much just pure min maxing.

When I think about it, my two legacy Stalingrad assaulter squads already have 4 assaulters, one medic, one MG gunner and one pioneer for low BR

While my BR5 squads have instead of the medic a sniper with a STG where I removed the scope from.

I dont know what exactly the purpose of such squad could be… maybe something exotic like 3 snipers and 3 flamers? Idk
