Is it a legit strategy ?
Because it works only against a team without any communication (no chat, no markers) and it takes some time to drive a tank behind enemy lines.
On the other hand - console players do not see the chat, so they do not know that there might be an enemy tank behind their spawn.

If after the first 2 tank kills someone didnt note your presence and take measures to remove you…tough titties IMO
This is what will happen if the grey zones are removed (I am saying that even though I hate grey zone campers).
So you have the choice of having people camping from a position that no enemy can reach, allowing them to lob HE at the enemy without being really threatened if they have enough armor. Or the option to have people spawn camping and flanking to get to the enemy spawn, laying mines everywhere.
Pick your poison.
Removing the grey zone was clearly a mistake that players heavily exploit.
Greyzones shouldnt be entirely removed. Instead they should make the battle areas bigger and maybe add longer lasting spawn protection
Yea this happen to me too but luckily a plane user manage to kill it while I was trying to take it down, the dude just keep reversing back whenever I got close.

They should expand the playable area to the side more, this allows player to actually flank while not being able to spawn camp.
I really like how the newer maps in Battle of the Bulge have a wide playable area to the side of the objective, it give the player more option to play the game rather than being channeled into CQB.
the train itself should change, the meta is spawn camping and not fighting on and around the train.
if the train was more suited to fight in and players got fat juicy XP for it than people wouldnt be toxic spawn campers.
They should just remove this whole gamemode. Problem solved.
