Equalize dispersion of FG 42 and AVS-36 sniper variants

So, we have the FG 42 and AVS-36 in the game. For the game purposes let’s call them battle rifles (yes, I know that the FG 42 is hard to define, but I wanted to keep it simple here).
But here’s the issue:

  • They both have pretty big dispersion values:
    • 0.28 for the AVS-36
    • 0.42 for the FG 42
  • But their sniper variants are different - AVS has dispersion similar to self loading sniper rifles while the FG has the same dispersion as the non-sniper variant:
    • 0.05 for the AVS-36
    • 0.42 for the FG 42

So how about we equalize that (in either way, doesn’t matter for me which one)?

Russian bias, simply look at ppd38(20rd) it can be compared with the thompson m21/28, russian equipment in enlisted is always better, stronger, faster than other nation one

Nah, not always - FG 42 just beats every Soviet weapon except of the AS-44 (about which I’ll write in a minute). Soviets just had really good SMGs (Suomi should be better than the PPSh-41 though - should have less recoil).

The fedorov make me laugh how OP is, a ww1 prototype gun wo work better than the stg…

I haven’t tried Fedorov so I can believe that, but the FG 42 (we’re talking about the Type III, n/A or however it’s called, the wooden stock variant) has way less recoil than both the AVT-40 and AVS-36.

No, nope

FG-42/2 is slightly stronger than AVT(but AVT has bayonet), while FG42/1 is not as strong as AVT but is much stronger than AVS (not sniper version).
A player in Berlin whose both sides are above level 33 said.

???

  • FG 42:
    • 52 vertical
    • 10 horizontal
  • AVT-40:
    • 102 vertical
    • 38 horizontal
  • AVS-36:
    • 103 vertical
    • 29 horizontal

Stats card are fake read what @Euthymia07 say

You can write a book on how russian are stealthy buffed in everything, maybe even they knife do more damage

AVS36 sniper and FG42 never meet each other.

FG is only in Normandy and the AVS is in every other soviet campaign

How do you get these stats btw? (Yes, I know you’re the guy who made this: Vault's Community Resource - Google Spreadsheets)

Another question btw, when did they change it? Because last time I’ve picked up the AVS or AVT, it felt way more “jumpy” than the FG. So was it the patch when they increased the recoil across all campaigns?

Simply after stalingrad release russian main cryed and is true “they cryed” about mkb OP german OP ecc…

Dev answered them by buff avt40 at level of control of a ppsh and later the avs36 a bit and nerfing to the ground german assault rifle

Yeah, I would say the way to balance this would simply be giving the sniper variants of select fire weapons better accuracy then their non scoped counterparts, but make sure that they don’t kill in one shot like the semi auto variants.

That way you would have:

Boltaction always one hit kill
Semi auto 1 hit kill only up close and 2 hit kills against 35HP perk at longer ranges
Select fire 3 hit kill against 35 HP perk at longer ranges

I want to say tho, that the FG42 Sniper variant used to be completely OP, because you had the accuracy of a K98 combined with one hit kills and a fast reload magazine, I used to play mainly sniper in Normandy back in the day, and I could get more kills with the FG42 than with a grey zone camping tank sniping the beaches.

Wait a second…

You mean to say bayonets add a hidden bonus to recoil, OVER the fact you can, well, stab with it???

It’s in Berlin too. But yeah… it’s not in Moscow, nor Stalingrad, whereas avs (or avt) are, like you said… :unamused:

In what way is the FGII stronger?

Changing damage based on weapon class and not caliber is one of the things that sets this game apart from BF or CoD, making this aspect of Enlisted more arcade would’d be a good thing

It’s realistic tho.

For recoil perhaps.

But it could also lower accuracy, or at the very least handling. Your rifle just got much longer afterall, and there’s an added weight at the front.

I’m glad it’s not taken into account however… well I THINK it isn’t?

Well, soviet rifles got zeroed with bayonets after all:)

Well damn.

And I kept some rifles WITHOUT bayonets because I liked the feel more (on guys that don’t charge)…

I’ll have some adjustments to make.
