Enlisted vs Enlisted: Reinforced

There seems to be some confusion about the recent announcement post about what everything means, so let me attempt to break it down from a player to a player point of view.

Enlisted and Enlisted: Reinforced is the same game. They will connect to one another like PC to consoles. The subtitle is important as it provides a “way out” if the steam version does not perform well to Darkflow/Gaijin standards in its closed test.

To get access to the closed test, a person needs to spend money on one of the three bundles (inside of steam) that will be announced soon.

The same bundles will be released on the client store page and the respected console store pages.

Buying through steam is what allows a veteran client to merge their account to steam, to get steam benefits and or steam deck support if they have one.

The client and console versions will remain free to play for the foreseeable lifespan of Enlisted.

The closed steam version is just the opportunity for veterans to support in another small to big way to have first dibs at playing via steam. Think of the Berlin or Tunisia CBT pack from the normal client of Enlisted. Functions nearly identical.

Granted, I don’t agree with this practice as there are over 9000 people, number taken from steamdb’s rough total of wishlisted, who let’s say almost half were veterans like us, past players.

The other half would see a free to play game suddenly now locked behind a paywall for entry and will simply choose not to play even after the closed period ends.

However, this closed period will end, at some time as well. Duration? You won’t get a response until Darkflow announces it themselves.

Still don’t like how it’s tied to a paywall since what if a F2P vet wants to play via steam but can’t since to, I’m assuming here, get into the steam version you have to pay the rights to merge.

TLDR: Treat client to steam game migration like an old Enlisted closed beta test package. Think of Berlin and Tunisia CBT but with 2 other options to get involved in.

I hope this helps in some way?

They don’t have a native English PR guy after all these years it seems… or if they do, they do a terrible job at rewriting everything. It seems I have to clear a lot of confusion some times on the Reddit side since I basically manage it solo lmfao… save me.

Imo for me Is for test crossplay, net code and steam integrated function with the game, like friend list, in game achievment ecc…

I can only relate to my experience with CBT Tunisia, but all we did in the end was report bugs. The same allegedly applied to CBT Berlin, too.

another CBT but with no new “campaign” content except a couple of premiums

Those new premiums will be also available for the non-steam version. There is pretty much no incentive to pay for the green play button aside from “supporting” DF even more. I don’t see a good future for the Steam launch which makes me mad and sad.

Why? If the price is going to be the same (for both steam/no steam version). People can just pick what they do prefer.
I expect the bundles to have an insane value. Similar to how Stalingrad bundle was a great deal.
And that those bundle are going to be basically no brainer for any paying player.

i could be wrong.
But we literally still know only half of the story. Yet people are already overthinking it/creating dramatic speculations.

But maybe I am just too optimistic, who knows.

I’m not sure mate, Stalingrad packs were only amazing because of the perks you gained, those two premium flamethrower tanks were pretty crappy and actually got worse since every Soviet/American player can carry AT handheld weaponry.

x4 xp, almost fully maxed weapons/soldiers each time you buy them, more slots were amazing but they won’t be ever included in the new packs since DF went away from exclusive perks and focus only on Premiums.

Pacific would be more comparable to what we should get 4 premiums for price of $30 is a pretty good deal.

Reason for why Stalingrad was a good kauf is completely unrelated to my point.

I am just saying we should wait until we see those bundles. Making assumptions until then is kinda pointless.

Honestly, they should hire you. You manage a Reddit page with 43k members daily, are fluent in English, and are invested in the game. If you fill out an application, I am sure they will happily have you.

Edit: Does the Steam version of Enlisted take up more space?

I don’t think we are still on good terms because of a dumb situation two years ago. They wouldn’t want to hear my side of the story so I just let it rest. If they want to have a discussion, I am all ears to an extent.

yes. steam doubles the space required for any game. nobody knows why it happens.

There are two obvious answers to this question.

1.) A Policy of deliberate ambiguity

A policy of deliberate ambiguity is the practice of being deliberately ambiguous. This is typically a way to avoid direct conflict while maintaining a masked, hidden position on a subject.

2.) Maskirovka

Russian deception, sometimes known as “maskirovka” (Russian: маскировка, literally ‘disguise’), was developed at the start of the 20th century. It covers a broad range of measures for deception, from disinformation and denial to deception.

The “maskirovka” deceptive measures are intended to deceive, deny, and disinform. They involve a complexity of measures, directed to mislead and extend to manipulation of “the facts”, situation, and perceptions to affect the media and opinion around the world, so as to achieve or facilitate the attainment of hidden agenda goals.

For my personal understanding and to put into perspective what you posted on this subject in this topic:

“Are you an official spokesperson for Darkflow and Gaijin on this subject?”
