Thank you for your post.
It’s a bit of a middle finger them showing Australian soldiers in the Pacific but restricting us to one Australian squad that doesnt even get slouch hats/digger hats and also restricting their uniform to that squad.
Also interesting they show the Moroccan auxiliaries which if I recall correctly havent been available since pre-merge.
This makes Enlisted look so much better than it actually is.
For one thing we see lots of vehicles. Myself and others have been calling for more APCs, additions of jeeps, kubelwagens, halftracks, Universal Carriers, ambulances and so forth.
Id really like to see less focus on medium/heavy tanks and more focus on vehicles like those mentioned above. I occasionally see a reference to “War Thunder: Infantry Edition” and by demanding DF add IS 2s, tortoises and so forth youre only adding to that problem.
This is also false advertising in the amount of tanks, trucks and so forth seen on a battlefield.
Returning to my previous point Id really like to see more mechanised squads. The Second World War was mechanised. Its one of the things that distinguishes it from the First World War.
Let every squad have a vehicle of some sort for transportation instead of limiting it purely to one so called APC squad.
I think having a mobile rallypoint for the APC squad is fine, let other squads just have transport that like the current APC we can choose whether or not to use.
Some squads such as assualter/machine gun would just have a truck or halftrack. Others would have specific vehicles like a recon vehicle for sniper squad (eg M3 Scout Car, Daimler Dingo), |
medics would have ambulances that act as healing points for a certain radius,
and engineers would have artillery tractors that can move AT and AA guns as well as replenish engineer build points (like ammo boxes there would be a limit on how many engineer refills one could get).
None of this is difficult to implement.
DF just takes anything remotely interesting and locks it behind a paywall or event as if we have time to just spend a week doing nothing except play Enlisted (and even then youre assuming its possible to complete all the tasks which are often specific to squads or enemy types that you may not have/encounter through no fault of your own).
We have a Universal Carrier and M3 Halftrack for example, why the hell are these not tech tree options (and in the Allies tech tree I might add!). I have mentioned many times the Australian UC which was a different variant to the event UC so would not affect those who unlocked the event UC.
