⭐ Enlisted Roadmap

it looks nice, but it would be pretty shit compared to real tank. if you have option between e.g. pz 4 or sd. kfz. 251/22 i would take pz 4 any time… simply lacks armor to be good in field for longer periods of time. it would be good for taking couple of shots on unaware opponent, but it would get destroyed rather fast (or at least it should be, but who knows with shitty damage models ingame).

probably halftracks… although idk how they will fit in current game…

I hope to heck it’s halftracks. A lot of matches could benefit from some mobility/cover. With new maps, they might be bigger. Everyone wants to rush and flank points, but no one touches those trucks already on the maps because of how squishy they are.

Depending on how they further flesh out the vehicle system, theoretically we could have 2 vehicles to go along side 2 tanks and planes. I could see this if they increase map size and player count. Of coarse then there’s the old fashioned “Meh I’ll use X because I feel like it”

2 new campaigns!? Ridiculous. We need more maps for the Pacific, Stalingrad, and Berlin already. I have only been playing for a month and am already worn out by the lack of map variation in them. I imagine many are feeling the same.

NO NEW CAMPAIGNS B4 IMPROVING CONTENT FOR EXISTING ONES

they probably are, but i dont see them how will they fit in current game. maps are too small and are cluttered. also they wont have much cover against enemy tanks. i expect them to be either completely situational (depending on map suitable for them) or completely useless. we will need to see what devs have envisioned for them.

only if they increase match with at least 15v15 or 20v20. cause otherwise it will be 4 infantry players and 6 vehicles ingame. like i said we will need to wait and see, there are still 8-10 months before that update.

They should be situational. I’d hate it if they were useful all the time because then it’s ‘meta’ and everyone’s constantly using them.

If I were the one designing the game, I wouldn’t make halftracks take up the same vehicle slot as a tank. The purpose was to transport infantry to where ever they were needed and then they get out and fight - with someone manning the machine gun as support. I’d have it as a separate slot entirely so that there wouldn’t be a dozen of them chaotically, but they’re also not hurting your team by preventing a tank from spawning

tell that to 23 versions of sd. kfz. 251 and few other field modified ones.

So you think that the soldiers in the back would just sit there, ineffectively, in a big juicy target instead of fanning out and being able to create interlocking fields of fire?

The machineguns were support. The rest of the squad would have created a ‘line’ with the halftrack as a focal point

have you played the game? that is what AI will do. it will serve as reserve for driver and gunner when they get taken out…

I finally hope the new pacific maps are iwo jima or wake island

So you want six or seven reserves just sitting there uselessly instead of securing the point? I’d rather they get out and be useful. If I lose the gunner, I am capable of returning because the halftrack shouldn’t be in the bfe pretending it’s a sniper

it is not what i want to do, but what game will do. game only recognizes 2 states. either you and your squad are in vehicle or they are out of it.

The question is how they draw the line on “half tracks” with all the different types. Would they have their own slot like tanks and planes, or would they be added to “tanks”. Would they be divided by armament, so ones with at cannons, flamethrowers, etc would be “tanks” and transports be their own slot?

Does the game have a large enough playerbase to be able to split it up once more into another campaign? It feels like a third of the team that I play on are bots as it is, unless I am mistaken.

Wouldn’t be hard to add a command for halftracks specifically that tells your extra squadmates to dismount and then you can command them normally by pointing and hitting ‘x’ (or whatever button it is on consol)

we hope either nation trees+campaign MM, or at least unification into fronts.

That is really a question I’d like the answer to, assuming that halftracks were indeed what they’re planning right now

wouldnt be hard to do lots of stuff, but we still dont have them ingame. i think that their team is just too small to implement many things.

I agree, half tracks should be a separate vehicle class/slot than tanks, like the motorcycles in the Tunisia campaign. Since there are two distinct classes for pilots (attacker pilot and fighter pilot), it would make sense to have a tank class and an armoured car class.

If they do halftracks, I think that it would be an essential command to add for them. And if it is halftracks, they did specify ‘unique mechanics’ so such a command seems likely.
