Enlisted needs more voice line interaction between soldiers! (necessary)

Hello comrades!

Voice lines interaction situations!

Enlisted feels a little emotionless… It could really need more interaction between soldiers to make it feel more alive and less repeating.

Always the same voice lines such as “Kopfschuss haha!” or “Ja! Ja! Ja!” get very annoying quickly. So, here are some situations which could use more voice lines to make the soldiers interact with each other more.

Here are voice lines for the player soldier with examples:

  • when you are downed and drop a grenade (already in the files)
“Ill take all of you with me!”

  • when you throw a grenade (already in the files)
    “catch this!”

  • when spotting a vehicle/tank/plane
    “Enemy tank there!”

  • while healing
    “i need to patch up”

  • more headshot voicelines (currently only one)
    “perfect!”, “between the eyes!”

  • when destroying a tank
“the metal box could not protect you”

  • when building as an engineer
“ammo crates here!”, “AT gun ready!”

  • when dropping a mine
    “watch your steps!”

Here are voice lines for AI soldier interaction with examples:

  • when getting healed by a medic
“thank you doctor”, “I wont forget you”

  • when dropping medicine box
    “Thanks comrade”

  • when player is suppressing enemy
“Dont stop firing! They are shitting their pants!”

  • when player shot an enemy
    “good shot!”

  • when artillery is coming
    “Watch out! artillery!”

  • when bombers are coming
    “get cover!”

  • when player is leaving the battle area
    “We need you here!”

  • when there is a explosion next to the AI soldier
    “shit!”, “still alive!”, “missed me!”

  • when the player gets hit
“They got you in their sights! get cover!”

  • when AI soldier gets downed
“Ahh i am hit! someone help me!”, “Medic, i am dying…”

That were just some examples… But it would really improve Enlisteds immersion… What do you think?

Yeah, sound good.
Maybe not those exact lines, but overall it whould be good addition.

I agree. Also it were just examples. The voice lines should be more complex, i just tried to keep it short for making it readable…

  • when AI soldier is downed
“Oh god, oh god, oh god… HELP ME! anyone… i need help… please…”

that would be a better ecample.

yeah, this would help enlisted feel much better. cuirrently it comes off as pretty amateur in terms of presentation

some of them already do work.
soldiers do call out for enemy , vehicles damage etc… but would be much better if soldiers would talk moar

Oh I miss this in RO2 where the soldiers are more human with actual voice lines when a teammate near him got hit or wounded. Need reactions when a squad member sees an enemy machine gun, sniper, AT soldier, tank or even a plane with bombs.

still remains the gold standard of Red Army voice acting

Yeah, some lame girlish talking should be priority. No comment.

it were short examples because i know people do not like reading long text- of course it should be different phrases :unamused:

Can’t say no to more battlefield screams and trash talk, adds to everyone’s pixelated warcrimes enjoyment.

Blondie verdict : :+1:

I will always support these types of details

absolutely. would make the battlefield a bit more realistic and feel alive

though, first we would at least need some sort of lip syncing. as it’s a bit off hearing voice lines but not seeing any mouth moving.

Yes.

Good.

Ideas for Volkssturm Voicelines:

  • Die Russen sind da! (The Russians are here!)
  • Jagt den Ivan zum Teufel! (Hunt Ivan. To the devil with him!)
  • Nicht schon wieder! (Not again!)
  • Wir können noch siegen. (We can still win.)
  • Spart Munition, zielt auf das Herz. (Save ammunition, aim for the heart.)
  • Das ist der Untergang! (That’s the downfall!)
  • Nehmt euren Mut zusammen. (Gather your courage)
  • Gott mit uns! (God with us!)
  • Noch ein letztes mal… (One last time…)
  • Ich will nach Hause! (I want to get home!)
  • Für meine Familie! (For my family!)
  • Berlin bleibt deutsch! (Berlin will stay German!)
  • Wir sind Brüder im Herzen und Geiste, halten wir zusammen. (We’re brothers in heart and spirit, let’s stick together.)
  • Für unser heiliges Land. (For our holy land.)
  • Deutschland über alles! (Germany above all/everything!)
  • Mäht sie nieder! (Mow them down!)
  • Lasst sie alle verrecken. (Let them all die.)
  • Habt ihr noch Pervitin? (Do you still have any Pervitin?)

I always liked the idea of the player character letting out some kind of a war cry (Similar to when bayonet charging) when firing a LMG for more than 20 rounds consecutively.

The problem is, in case there will be a modern conflict campaign (like we had in the event) the germans would not use voicelines like „Ivan“ or „Gott mit uns“… those would be outdated then, so i doubt the voice lines will be factionified

And especially they need to be less excited, especially the Germans.

Sounds too enthusiastic for the Volkssturm.

Dear Comrade Scav-Sergei,

has much you sugestion is poetic, i prefer my troops has quity is possible.

also, to me it will be useless, since i play moscow, and i neither speak german or russian. so the information no matter how usefull it is. will not be understant to me.

hoever, you got 25 likes. if DEV,s like to, i don,t care. since troops are always yelling useless thing.

BUT, has i am a contructive critic, MAKE SOMEHWHERE in menu, subtitles. so i can read in english what is spoken in Russian/German.

cheers.

It’s O.K.

Moderne Conflict could be in game.
That’s just some Volkssturm or Wehrmacht voice lines.

There is often useless “ja, ja, ja” / “yes, yes, yes” in game right now - mostly.

The Situational stuff you suggested is good for immersion.

I would put all of that in my game if I would have the resources. I don’t. So…

We can only make suggestions. And make options and optional stuff.

Maybe. Some voice lines are optimistic or fanatic.
Some are not.

They were poor sobs in the time of their ultimate fate.

Probably fit in for SS units.
