Enlisted monetisation doesn't fit for FPS

Hello, I would like to post my opinion on why is enlisted monetisation in the state it is.

Note: this is just a theory so take it with a grain of salt

Darkflow is financed by a bigger company called gaijin entertainment.

Gaijin is most known for making a game called war thunder. War thunder is a vehicle shooter mostly played by tank nerds. Tank nerd community is not very big and a game like war thunder can’t achieve a huge community like gta or battlefield so to make as much money as possible from a farely limited community (meaning community already reached its peak and most likely wont keep growing) , devs have to implement agressive monetisation methods and this works well for war thunder. On the other side, enlisted is an fps game. Fps community is MUCH bigger if not the biggest game community in the world. Fps players have a ton of games they can choose to play (unlike with war thunder which is the only real tank simulator out there and basically has no competition) so if they feel like the game is bad, too grindy or pay-to-win they will just switch to another game.

The problem with enlisted is that it’s an fps game with warthunder-style monetisation methods which just doesn’t work

Dev simply still unable to provide a functional customization system.
In lots of games, this is the most profitable part.

It’s not even war thunder style here…

where is war thunder style? tech tree?

That’s also a good point. Most FPS games thrive on customisation over premium guns
Enlisted should focus more on customisation

Tech tree has nothing to do with monetisation

I was talking about overprized premium stuff, which both games have

have you ever seen any other free to play game besides these 2?

like… hmmm… CS:GO

CSGO actually doesnt have overpriced products from valves side. all overpriced products are on community market. sure you could pay loads of money if you wanted some specific skin, specially if rng isnt favoring you.
but i could be wrong on current info cause i havent played this in a long time.

if you want to talk about overpriced premiums stuff then you should talk about diablo immortal and similar games.

Yes but for skins. In CSGO there’s no premium guns or overpowered end-game guns that give you advantage over noobs

Exactly

Well csgo is actually respected FPS game.
While this piece of russian masterpiece is literally so bad that its good as joke.

So comparing these 2 games in any manner isnt exactly just that simple.

Theres probably more AFK users in csgo startup screen than this game has ever had players.

They are already doing customization to an extent. I really hope they don’t fall into the trap of making brightly colored, outlandish outfits, just to make some extra money.
