There should be a better in game communication system. I like to be able to coordinate and play with others and the best way to do that is voice.
Teamwork does not exist (with rare exceptions) and voip won’t magically create it.
Most people end up as kill hoggers.
You ask some people for enemy coordinates (markers) and most often you will not get markers.
I do try to mark, but many people don’t.
still doesn’t mean it can’t, takes just a few playing together.
this is true. but that would be the great thing about voice or grouping up. It allows ppl to pick he they are around more. which is ppl that help each other and communicate.
The problem is that people don’t want to help eachother, because the person giving out the useful information would lose out on kills.
Again, you can choose not to play with a person again… but you look at this as just black when its not just black and white. there are ppl out there like myself that like TEAMWORK… teamwork is working together. not one sided. so going back to that point is mute. You spot when u can and so does the others.
also, isnt the win the goal, not who does the most kills?
for ex: i am in the air, you would spot if you are on the ground when u can. I can do very little spotting but at the very least, I would verbally tell you what I see. then I get shot down or bail w/e… then we both would be marking when can but more importantly, verbally talking enemy movement. The markers are most important for vehicles and mortars (arty/bombers too). Thats bc sight is very limited in vehicles. planes not so much but by the time u can see things ur right on top of it and may miss ur mark. so it allows for someone to line up in time before they get there. Again, if you were in voice chat… everything is easier. And if that person doesnt share the help when they can/should…then don’t play with them anymore. But, teamwork is very important and its way more fun.
No.
The goal is the get as much exp by kills and win. Mostly kills.
No, thats personal goal. the goal of the game is to win
You can still have great success with little to no kills. If you dont get 100 kills just make sure you only have a death or 2. Also, focus on vehicles or cap points. engineer points. there are MANY of ways to do better without getting shorted a few kills for helping a team. To me, you should very selfish. You sound like the kind of person that on the pacific you sit on the hill sniping all game when we havent capped and are about to lose you still sit there bc you only care about urself and your kills. Am I close?
While myself, my favorite things to do, I put aside and push the objective to help the team move forward and I ask for help and you are still up there sniping staying safe… that is what focusing on kills is. selfish. kills dont always win the game either. a lot of times, its movement and focusing on certain things as a whole. Like a tank, or an enemy movement etc. I get lots of kills but it is not my focus. Making sure my TEAM wins is. otherwise, why play this game that is objective based. Go play a game that is team death match based
The goal of the game doesn’t matter. Personal goals are what people try to achieve.
Depends what do you mean as “success”.
If wining the game then all you need is: rally points, SMG, explosive packs and occasional suicide plane.
And no, you won’t win without kills.
Not really.
You either rush the objectives and build rallies or you aren’t helping.
No, you aren’t close.
Or more like: a year ago you wouldn’t be close.
I also used to try and encourage teamwork and varied playstyles.
But enlisted was, is and probably will remain a very one dimensional game with only one “proper” playstyle: zergrush the objective and don’t look back. That’s what devs promote and that’s what community deffends.
Not teamwork.
Also remember that win gives exp modifier. So if you have bad exp, this won’t help you much.
Guess what gives the most exp? Kills and the objective.
Voip = Voice over IP.
So online voicechat
So you are just as much to blame for lack of team work as you stated earlier that it doesnt exist. And I am not responding to that stuff. You litterally took what I said and ignored my words that supported it. This game could be better with more ppl that think like I previously stated. Less like what you are arguing.
1 thing i will say, success is an accomplishment. You can still have accomplishments/success but having a goal of winning bc that is exactly the point and goal of this objective based game. Its a point game. You had nothing to say about my team death comment. lol. which supports my thoughts that what I have been saying is true.
I see lastly u said Kills and objective. lol, OBJECTIVE thats what I have been saying. and thats a way to get good points. You can have the top with 50kills. The point wasnt to measure what gives you the most points. the point was, teamwork. focusing on kills is selfish and doesnt help the team in the long run if the objective is not being taken or enemy movement is not being told to the whole team so others capable of dealing with it can help and/or just not be caught off guard by a flank or vehicle. I am 95%of the time top player or at the least, top 3. So, with saying that. I still believe teamwork and goal of winning the game played is most important. I do not like to be selfish. Id rather see us win than get a few more kills. Also, and lastly… personal goals are selfish and shallow… bc it only effects tech tree. The game is still that same. Once you unlock everything, then what? you going to still just focus on kills?? thats absurd. there is an objective game and you chose to play it. Play the objective and work together. That doesn’t mean that everyone will be on the objective itself. It means everyone should be supporting the point of taking it. I only go after things that risk loss of game.
*grind based game.
You’ve been talking about teamwork.
And all “teamwork” you need is other ppl to build rally points and zergrush the objective.
Imo this doesn’t fulfill the definition of a teamwork.
Congrats, you can efficiently kill bots that don’t return fire in 70% of cases.
Nope.
Building rally points, getting kills and attacking the objective are the most important.
Then you do what others do:
- continue playing because you actually have fun
- go on the forum and bitch “where new content to grind Keo!!!”
Look man, I’m not against teamplay. I’d love to have more of it.
But so far every time I tried it, I got F-ed and got very shit points. Ppl don’t do teamplay because it’s not worth it.
I also had that in mind. The first and last time I have voice chat with another Enlisted player was through discord. I’m not trying to be funny here, the man tried to convert me to Islam.
Kill hoarding is a product of :
- High XP gain requirement to unlock levels, especially later levels
And
- Real Player VS AI imbalance amongst teams, you might as well assume your team is always mostly AI and play super aggressive as a result
Except that most people cant kill squat
