Hi there, for me and some other friends, this “ability” need to get a nerf.
The skill cooldown must be nerfed, because in some maps, there are conquest points (A,B or C) that can in no way provide protection from these constant artillery attacks. So there is a simple way to win these maps… Fire with artillery skill every 30 seconds on these uncovered locations using all the troops to conquest the other 2 points.
Imagine multiple artillery skills at the same time on the same points…
The ideal cooldown for me must be 1minute and 30secs, or you can set a limited number of uses for this type of skill (5 to 8) with the same cooldown.
It’s really boring to see people hidden at the spawn location, spamming this skill and nothing more… These people actually are out of the fight.
Please fix this “skill”
First the problem with capture points providing no cover must be fixed. That is much more important matter.
Both teams have the ability to fire on the same 3 points right??? So it’s not unbalanced just bring your own arty …
no no no, no nerf needed. This is the first game that does artillery support freaking right! It’s like THE number 1 weapon on battlefields, and has been since WW1 or something.
No changes needed, my 2 cents.
It’s more of a problem when only 1 point is uncovered. On Fortified District, for example, one team spawns next to C which is in a building surrounded by other buildings. Relatively safe from artillery. The team that has to spawn A side is stuck with a point where someone just spraypainted a circle in the road. I’ve personally had it happen to me (and I’ve done it to others) where alternating artillery strikes make taking A totally RNG. God… I hate that map so much…
Caps needs to be a bit better protected against artillery and it would be just fine. Raising cooldown to 1:30 would be too much because then radio operators would have far less incentive to stay alive and just drop initial arty (CBT style) and run to their deaths for another spawn.
(Simple said, it wouldn´t be likely to drop more than one artillery per spawn)
constant 3x arty on the same spot. non stop. it is kinda overkill, i do think it needs a cool down. especially at the start of the matches. I dont think it would affect the game too much if it gets nerfed for a cooldown.
No Nerf on Arty … Like the recent plane nerf the devs usually go the easy route to nerf something that can be dealt with in better ways. Same thing goes with Arty and mortar spam. There are other solutions that would reduce this issue but would take more time to implement …
Don’t kill one class just to fix an immediate problem with another class unless you have definite plans to make a more permanent and better fix in the future. …

Arty spam is annoying, especially if there is a radio squad or more than one strike at one time.
Dont wanna know how it would like without friendly fire.
There is friendly fire. Both from artillery and plane bombs.
Again communication is key here. I don’t necessarily mind a quick fix to solve an immediate problem even if it’s not the best solution.
But to make a quick fix without communicating that it’s not a long term solution is just leaving your community in turmoil. I don’t want the same thing to happen to arty and mortars.
So no short term quick fix nerf unless we know that there is a better solution coming later. Above all else COMMUNICATE!!
And thats why I said how people would spam it WITHOUT FF.

I personally think the nerf on plane spawns was a great move. Which means less spawn killing, Putting a limit on how many arties can go at once will be far better than 3-4 arties at once in the same place. It ruins how the game runs. Arty should be threatning. but not constantly used all at once on one point. I cant count how many times arty was spammed on a point at once. or spammed at the start of the game right near the spawns.
It may have solved the problem short term but it was a quick knee jerk fix that harms another class. With a little more careful consideration and listening to some suggestion from the community they could have achieved the same results without hurting another class…
Sometimes quick easy change is necessary in the short term but without communicating what their long term goals are just cause turmoil in the community and maybe even a few players …
So I dont want to see a repeat with Arty and Mortatrs … No nerf
I wouldn’t see a problem wit limiting one attack until another finishes. Maybe max of 2-3 possible at once. Or just limit the number of Radiomen allowed to spawn.
Aa the start of a match I’m usually running radioman calling arty on any pings and setting up a relay with my engineer in squad.
