But it is quite absurd and not historical.
The last good film about the Second World War that I watched was 28 Panfilovites.
In what movie do the guy know you have to shoot a panther between the turret and the hull?
In what movie you see the actual effect of shell of a crew inside a tank?
Of course it’s romatized, and therefor some moment are absurd especially at the end. But it feel so much better than other awarded movie.
In “Dunkerque” the plot can be sum up by:
“So… there is this guy who try to left dunkerque, and there is a Stuka and a spitfire, and some civilian boat… and that’s basicaly it”.
I have visited Dunkerque, and the movie is as boring as the city. So yea it’s realistic.
My favorite war movie is 1917, but it’s still absurd in some kind of way too.
