Enlarge the capture zone size

It’s freaking restarted for a single rocket strafe to kill most of if not all defenders thus allowing enemy infantry to capture the zone unopposed, especially on open maps like Bulge and Normandy.

All I ask is to increase the size to few buildings on urban zones and few hundred meters on open zones.

No not the cap size the maps should be bigger most of maps are too small the cap size is okay

I think bigger cap size would be better. Gives more room to avoid HE/arty/CAS

bigger zones harder to defense as more enemy can hide from defender’s firepower, like some pacific maps. A little size increase won’t help against a HVAR rain.

Well, for starters Pacific Maps are their own unique mess. We have to consider those early maps weren’t thought out for anything above BR 2-3 weaponry. But bigger objectives would certainly help.

My idea is that objectives should be large chunks of certain zones. In urban maps it could be easily divided by blocks, instead of defending a single building. In countryside maps it could be based on natural barriers such as rivers, cliffs, roads.

Gotta disagree on that one. Having a larger zone means that it will be easier for attackers to get on point and stay under the radar. There are a tiny handful of points that I find myself playing on where there should be a slight increase but there are also a few where there should be a decrease. However, even on most of these points their size doesn’t impact things to an extent to where its game breaking. If there is a plane strafing the point, then deal with it and shoot it down, if there is arty then set up a bit behind, infront, or to the side of the point to avoid while still defending.

One thing I would surely like would be showing in the map the actual size and shape of the capture zone, not just the capture symbol.

I see your point. But I think It would work both ways, attackers could sneak troops and defenders would do the same. If you’ve ever played Big Action mod this is how it goes. In my perspective it’s a win win for everyone, maybe except for players who prefer shorter matches of course.

Some have really small caps

It would be good to make cap zones bigger but also make key buildings that would have x1.5 capture speed. So defenders at least could have some early advantage vs rushes of massive hordes of enemies.

A smaller cap point that if captured will boost the capture speed of the larger cap point so games wouldn’t be too long. Kinda neat.

Defending would be pain in the ass. Imagine searching tens of houses to find the enemies that are capping.

Might as well don’t play anything if your main concern is that you don’t want to search a handful of tiny buildings to clear an objective

An entire housing block is more than couple small buildings. Also i wasnt against the idea of large cap zones but they will need to change captime and decaptime aswell to make it possible for defenders to win

Entire building block defended/cleared by 7/10 of your teammates is still fair enough. What’s not fair is having 7/10 of your teammates defending a single house just so the enemy don’t overwhelm the cap only to get decimated by a lucky rocket.
