Engineers III

the logical evolution that could be expected from engineers, I suggest adding a layer of durability at the cost of losing more resources and construction time, there are already models within the game, so adding them I do not see as… strange as some want to believe

Nice topic change
I would of said No, before you change title
You not taking my resources, or building speed, that i take the perks for.
But a Engineers III, i would support this idea :+1:

maybe you don’t get the concept, perhaps a help from a mod by a dude help with the idea

I get concept of a Engie III, with the things you want,
but i wasn’t going to say yes, if it affected current engies

So now i have to carry a tank/plane/jeep up my butthole :stuck_out_tongue:

also no, keep em, would love to be able to build a jeep

even just having Engineers III with +12.5% intrinsic building speed and the usual 9 additional perk points for third tier soldiers would be great enough. also if they automatically include all structures of a nation, so ampulemots for ger/sov and preferably some special structure for burgers/japs too.

japs maybe the flammable balloon, to give some idea for japs and m16 rocket launcher for americans?

I would prefer if engineer III would be Capable of building both heavy machine gun, as well as a light machine gun, regular AT cannon and a larger AT cannon (less maneuverability, less rounds in ready rack) And also having the ability to build types of AA guns, a faster, firing, smaller caliber, and the standard large caliber slow firing.

For the structures, the sand barriers and bunkers would be absolutely superb to have, these engineers could build the sandbag barriers, bunkers, and have a quicker ability of digging with the shovel. When they dig with the shovel, they can dig out more dirt at a faster rate that standard engineers, and they can build, the amount of standard structures and a decent amount of the large structures. A sandbag wall with the ability to make a camouflage tarp cover almost like a tent.

The caveat could be that engine engineer III’s Would be locked into BR 3 to 5, so they won’t get abused in low BR games, and each engineer would be worth 15k silver (more than the 11k for Assaulter IV) which would balance them out to an extent? Or maybe have them be the 11k silver instead.

Regardless this needs to be done ASAP. The engineers as they stand are very lackluster and they are also able to be abused in low BR games because Engi 1 can’t build the LMG nest and the Engi 2 can build the MG and seal club new players in BR matches.

They could both build M3 37 mm Anti-Tank guns. The 37 mm could fire AP, HE, and Canister Shot. Americans used them extensively in the Pacific, and with the Japanese’s tendency to use captured enemy weapons, they most likely did use them since they would have been capturing them both from the Chinese and the Americans. I am sure everybody would love to get their hands on a 37 mm Canister Shot if it was added to both factions.

I’d use the Northover Projector for the Allies; closest equivalent, meant to fire Molotov Cocktail jars.
and for the Japanese I’d ask one of the Japanese players to do some searching on their end.
I imagine the IJA had to have done something similar in the build up to the invasion of the home islands… (unless the fuel situation in japan was worse than I thought, and they couldn’t even scrounge up old lamp oil or lighter fluid)… I mean it’s a potato gun… or a knee-mortar like thing but just firing a molotov cocktail.

Engineers III are completely unnecessary.

Currently even engineers I are more valuable than any soldier III/IV of different class.

Engineers are currently must have and something should be done about it.

part of this is that there’s no way to do that because of the other demands the game places; notably the pacing, and the contradictory “we can’t alienate a significant percentage of players” that doing anything to effect the pacing creates.

you want to nerf Engineers? interesting I guess…

They should just remove rally point structure, as it is currently the most OP thing in game that can easily win any match.

But I guess so called “full auto spam” is a bigger issue :man_shrugging: As if I didn’t expect to see full auto weapons in a fps game. Instead I’ll have to play the role of Bob the builder every time I want to carry a match.

There is nothing more annoying than the necessity of rally point spamming.

Playing an engineer should be an option, not a necessity to win matches.

I I can easily dominate in cqc with BA against players with smgs but worse skills.
But I can’t do shit against a lot of bad players who are smart enough to build rally points. Especially when my own team hasn’t even built one.

I already have Engineer IV

zerg rush enjoyer detected ugh

Idk how making distance from spawn to objective significantly bigger is considered as being “rush enjoyer”.
On the contrary, without rally points, the death/squad wipe would be much more impacting. And so good players would try to stay alive as long as possible. Because they could no longer just spawn 50m away from the objective and repeat endless carefree rushes/raids on objectives.

Your statement just doesn’t make any sense, but okay. :man_shrugging:

So you want to remove rally point from Engineers/me :stuck_out_tongue:
Because

Tbh even if you remove rally,
i would still play engie, because most the time, i spawn at main, even if i have a rally down, then move up, in case i need to lay a new rally
I have no issue walking 100 m in a video game

This food for thought, as its now my fault, that people keep rushing obj, so if i don’t build, they wouldn’t keep over extending them selves
