For the love of god, you numpties, reduce the unlock level of engineers, or better yet, just give EVERY squad an engineer as default.
Just to clarify, Im sick as axis on Tunisia being the only Engineer 90% of the time. I would honestly rather… play the game, than just run around keeping up spawn beacons. Not to mention, you really aren’t rewarded for doing so. In a game like this, I don’t know why they make you grind for such an essential component for any shooter of this type, got to be the dumbest design choice I’ve seen in a FPS for a long time. - sometimes I say, nope, I’m not putting a single spawn down this time, I’m actually going to PLAY the game… then we lose, almost every time…It freakn blows.
Fun fact: even we swap engi and radio, people won’t build rally
Yea, its always hard getting people to play as a team… look at what battlefield has devolved into, but I think the grind is a big issue, getting to lv 9 F2P takes some time, and Tunisia is so open, I feel like Engineers should be like pretty much the first thing you unlock. - Also if they made the build time shorter by default, it would probably help… engineer is just a pain to play, specially if your spawns keep getting wiped.
100% agree. There is just little to no incentive to use any of the game winning mechanics such as:
- using engineers properly,
- capturing objectives - you can get more points for clearing the objective from enemies than capturing it, not to mention that if you get killed before capturing the point (even like a split second before), you get half a capture point in the scoreboard and, if I recall, no points whatsoever,
- using smoke artillery - yes, it would be somewhat tricky to make any rewards for using it because it doesn’t affect enemy or friendly team in any direct way, but it’s another game winning mechanics that almost nobody uses.
The only “incentive to PTFO” the obvious 1.5× victory booster, but it doesn’t reward people directly for their actions, but rather for being on the winning team, so dumber player won’t see a link between winning more often and building rallies or taking objectives.
At job when people ask for “motivation” it mean they want a promotion, or more money.
In enlisted if you want to motivate the player to build rally, increase the amount of exp you get with a message to notice it"+50 spawn point"
I have the same issue w Tunisia.
It’s very frustrating and hurts game play not having access to Engineer until level 9 on Tunisia.
And i bet even so people dont build it keep using assaulter and gunner with enginer only for ammobox and rant in the forum/game chat

Yup, your right, the engineer thing is part of a bigger issue. Partially that Enlisted has a much more casual playerbase than Hell LL or Insurgency etc.
But that said the Devs really need to try to encourage people to play the objective, get way more points just running around with your head cut off than actually playing the game the way it was intended. Its ridiculous how little points they give you for defusing/planting bombs, or taking the objective.
It doesn’t have to be HLL or Post Scriptum level of historical accuracy, just look at the Battlefield series (BF1 and older, BFV and 2042 just hurt to look at), quite a casual game, but the playerbase had a sense of playing tactically (at least when it comes to taking objectives). So it’s as much about game design as it is about playerbase.
