Previously engineers could build sandbags, pillbox aiming holes, but this was disabled after players stacked sandbags etc and blocked attack points, now we have nerfed sandbags and people know how to dismantle or can destroy them with detpacks, can we have this back as we need more buildings please.
Also using mg42 and axis AA, comon guys, I love all the new changes, but please give us nation specific buildings.
If anything, nerf AA so it can’t be deployed in buildings or on edges of towers (Tunisia), also reduce gin depression (edited), ok I know if people put on slope it’s possible, but on the whole majority put in Berlin long walkway (conquest map?) and just fire to Soviet end or vice versa.
@Keofox I think we have waited long enough for this please, nation specific engineer building would be great. We were told they were just placeholders, but seems like a lot of content added in interim.
What you mean reduce elevation? You mean its gun depression i guess.
But i agree we need some sort of rework of engi. I think normal troops should also be able to build sandbag and barbed wire (as well as engineers too) and so any troops can order or help building stuff. Shovel should be available for all troops for all campaign and it should be able to build personal trench. I like to see other variants of sandbag like flat sandbag with window which you can find in map, or fortified sandbag that resists more then normal one, etc. Buildable small trenches are also interesting. A radio station that has ability to shorten arty cooldown would be interesting. Maybe field artilery? Or booby trap? Some maps that engineers can build bridge to make attack easier would be good too.
This, it’s just gold, i support any suggestion giving more power to the engineers and i disagree with nerfing AA guns infantry capabilities, imo it’s already in a very balanced state and doing that would them nigh useless.
First they need to not make the soundbags made of paper mache and insta delete when artillery or any small bang is near by. Give sandbags a health bar or something. And the time for it takes for enemy to deatroy barbed wire should take longer and artillery should also not make it disappear into thin air.
They were too strong before, people used to abuse building and barricade themselves in cap points… sandbags are much better than before, they even buffed them again recently.
I want our sandbags to stack again and build mini rifle nests, not mg nests, like previously.
I don’t have a pick but back in CBT you could build sandbags pill box kinda.
I would also like to ask for bringing back to “destroyed” versions of barbed wire. Before latest update after wire was dismantled it stayed on the floor acting as a sound alarm and hurting crawling enemies. Now it just dissapears.
Something similar could work for sandbangs too imo. Sandbags from The destroyed barrier could stay on the floor and still provide some cover (mostly visual) if you would to prone next to them.
i really like the idea to make the engineer be able to build different tipe of sandbag and be able to build pillboxes, i really like the idea to make some map with buildable bridges by engineer to make the maps more dynamic. Another thing i want to see for Engineer II and Engineer III maybe is the ability to build stronger AT or support weapon in general. Maybe make Engineer II to build a 70mm AT gun to counter late campaign tanks
