Engineer+Rally Point Rework

I am making this Proposal to make engineers more XP/Score balanced as well as fix Rally points.

Engineer Score For Building + Usefulness:
These are suggested scores for building defenses. I based this on the 50 score for capping a point on Conquest.
Sandbags: 5 score
Barbed Wire: 5 score
Hedgehog: 5 Score
Ammunition Box: 10 Score +5 Score every time a teammate uses it.
AA Gun 20 Score + Assists on kills
AT Gun: 20 Score + Assists on Kills
Machine Gun: 10 Score + Assists on Kills
Rally Point: 25 Score +5 score for every squad spawn

Total value if you maxed out and built EVERYTHING would be on the odd end of ~245 points and it takes a fair bit of time and requires a minimum of 4 engineers.

These values are intentionally low so that Engineer squads do not simply build then go AFK to grind Campaign XP. It should also incentivize using the Guns in strategic positions to get the most kills.

Rally Point Rework:

  1. Rally point should retain its 50m away from the main objective barrier.
  2. Dismantling rally points should be faster by hand as they are easily destroyed with explosives. So similar time as sandbags.
  3. Rally points should not give spawn protection. You should not be invincible in the middle of a field because of a rally point. This should make it so people try to protect spawning troops, with say sandbags, as well as preventing invincible rushes to the objective.

As someone who regularly spends half the game just fortifying objectives and planting rally points I get that its not a very rewarding experience but I don’t think its necessary to incentivise building for the sake of it.

With Ammo boxes and Rally points, these get used regularly enough that they don’t need a deployment reward, just a use reward would be enough (it would be great if ammo boxes were marked on your teams map though). Guns and barbed wire also don’t need deploy rewards since they’re perfectly capable of earning a reward through proper use. As for passive fortifications deploy rewards should be viable, but I think it would be best to restrict it to rewarding them for building on an objective.

These changes reward good use of the engineers structures which id personally prefer over tiny rewards for just waving the magic hammer around without context. On the flip side, simple rewards for destroying or dismantling enemy structures would also be a welcome change.

This sounds fair tbh, though technically speaking rally points cant be used when an enemy is nearby so the spawn protection is only good for long range threats or artillery. More support for rewarding engineers is always nice though!

I guess incentive is a bad choice of words when I probably mean more rewarding.

As for reward number I was just spitballing estimates to get more total use out of it.
