Engineer III + M1A1

I want the m1a1 carbine, I love them. Maybe not as much as @Rickyd123 , but I’m a strong supporter of those cute lil wonders.

I don’t want engineer 3 or the carbine to be such a late lvl unlock however.

I’m hoping devs will at some point create branches in the campaign unlock line, for us to get sidegrades (like the m1a1 carbine).

Berlin I think at least has the potential for 3 to 4 more levels if they do it right.

StG44 (non-scoped)
Tiger II (H)
Panzerschreck (AT Gunner II)
VG 1-5 (with 10rd box for Rifleman III)

Beyond that I dont know what else they could reasonably add. The Jagdtiger would be cool but tanks in Berlin already have terrain climbing issues, and a pebble would probably stop it at the spawn.

Normandy has a few more options in terms of vehicles, and unless we start adding Foreign weapons (MAS36) you’re probably right at 1 level per update.

It has to stop at some point, there are only so many weapons that can reasonably be used.

i am also a big fan of weapons that are generally speaking considered useless

Ah!

Another BerdanII and 1888 enthusiast?

I would be stoked if they had a Non-Scoped version of the Gewhr 98. The old Long version, with its beautiful wood finish. Espicially now that we have such amazing BA Damage.

I’ve always said I wanted Korea after this starts winding down or whatever, but to be truthful, I almost think I would prefer WW1.
Zero Auto Spam. Troopers weren’t running around with MG’s spraying at the hip.
Just BA’s. Fixed MG nests and Artillery. It would be glorious.

I honestly doubt that anyone but diehard Volkssturm fans would pick that over FGs.

I don’t disagree, though from my understanding back in the day, the VG1-5 was a rifleman unlock and absolutely dominated the Soviets (with the Axis presumably having access to the FG42 already, but someone can confirm that).

I think it would be a fun gun to use (or make it with the 20Rd Mag). Its very stable and quite accurate, might give a good option for players at the end who want to be outside of the norm.

Now that Semi’s are back in fashion, I actually have more G43’s than FGs again.
So who knows what would happen. Pipe dreams.

No.
Only if:

  • Holds use allows select grenade types (smoke/standart).
  • If we choose standart then it uses 2 box resupply points (box have 10-20 iirc) and got minute cooldown.
  • If we choose smoke then it uses 1 box resupply points and got 30 sec. cooldown.

All campaign have slot with 1 weapon or vehicle:

So we can fill it with squad. Not very good idea make medic 1 or medic functions in +40 lvls.

Maybe better make it something like it:

Engineer I:

  • WW1/Old Stationary MG.
  • Allow build bridges (for tanks; in Normandy you can use shovel for stop tanks in some maps you can at mine it + we already have icon in files).
  • Allow switch between building types (change sandbag from standart to big one and e.t.c.).

Engineer II:

  • Ladders.
  • Still can use old mg.

Engineer III:

  • Stronger AA and AT cannons.
  • Still can use old AA and AT.

Eheh I also ditched most of my fgs for good old g43s.

I like the feel of the g43 more than the fgs. It also has less total ammunition than the fg, so it forces me to be more careful, which is a good thing since even bots are now dangerous.

Last update was a real boon. Now all weapon types are not only viable, but competitive.

I pretty much did the same thing once the patch dropped and I read the notes.
More BA’s got assigned, more G43’s were put back on. I do still have FG42’s but they are now rarer than anything else. 1 in every 9 solider now I think?

Since I’m done with Normandy having maxed my last squads again, its off to berlin for me. Label Squad has been pure giggles, and again I’m starting to swap weapons out for the G43 again too. Just being mindful because I’m trying to bank Silver for the next campaign drop.
Stalingrad just for axis was 500+ Silver to max. So I can only imagine the same pain for whatever new campaign we get.

500+ silver???

If you combine both personnel and weapons order you mean?

But yeah I’m doing my BP dailies in a loop everyday in preparation :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope Pacific will have the same business model as Stalingrad for progression, as I don’t have much free time. Devs can keep everything unlocked for free guys if they want (I just really want fast progress and almost max stars)

I have high level OCD where every squad needs to be maxed. Full soldiers and equipment.
So if you think about it 500 silver is not a lot at all.

Every squad is fully equipped. Grenades, TNT, Mines, ect ect.

It uh, cost me a lot of Silver. Just for weapons.

Aaah I get it.

And me still acting like a conscript with many squads still armed with starter rifles

The Soviet carbine is surprisingly fun to use in Stalingrad (and now everywhere) and the k98 just doesn’t need introduction anymore

I love the 98K , but the opportunity for 1895s and M91s meant 90% of my BAs went there initially, and then with the 98s with Grenade launchers and AT grenade launchers meant even more silver ( 2 for the Schiess and 3 a piece for the GGC40P).

So technically a conscrip for some of my squads, though I do have my SMG guys loaded properly, only because I need a counter to some of the map locations where some spray and pray is desirable.

You’re correct about the mannlichers… I have to replace all my bolties with them.

I have to. Because.

I’m not a fan of grenade launchers, I merely max it’s tech tree, but I don’t buy much. I think I only have 2 or three in Stalingrad…

But I need mannlichers.

Lots of them.

I have

  • 3000 soldier order 2000 bronze 1000 silver

  • 2000 weapon order 1500 bronze and 500 silver

I just don’t have enough free time to collect that much 🤷

It’s why I hope the pacific campaign will use a similar business model as Stalingrad for progression and star lvls only and prices with every tech tree unlocks opened for free players.
Then everyone would be happy.

So uh FG42 II in Normandy then along with the inevitable King Tiger

If they want a tank with the Long 88, thr Jadgpanther would make a lot more sense for Normandy.
IMO at least.

I like them only because I can lob things at windows for snipers in hiding, and the AT one is actually useful against the first few tanks you face.

Beyond that, yeah Mannlichers and P38s for 75% of my regular troopers. I donhave some G41s and Zhs in the mix, but not too many.
