what’s wrong with sandbags?
They are ok for windows, but totally don’t work when it comes to blocking the doors. And as you can see, players prefer to use hedgehogs. And I admit, I just like the idea to break through some wooden barricades with an axe.
It just something that would not be gamebreaking in any way, but can be a fun addition.

Someone asked how explosives works vs wire (why did I originally type infantry??!! 
) in real life - the answer is - they didn’t. Unless they exploded right on the wire - with instantaneous fuzes.
Normal artillery and shrapnel in WW1 did little or nothing to wire - prompting the Brits to invent the instantaneous fuze 106.
the other standard method of explosive clearing is a tube filled with explosive pushed underneath the wire - Bangalore Torpedoes - see Bangalore torpedo - Wikipedia
with small explosives (hand grenades) or no fragments (explosive packs) the weapons carried by infantry should have little or no effect.
Of course wire cutters and throwing a body (alive or dead… 
) across it also work for various amounts of time and suffering!!
