Enemy tanks do not show on my map

Is there a special level or equipment I need for enemy tanks to show up on my mini map or main map? IN the Stanlingrad and Berlin map especially,When I am in my tank I constantly scan for enemy tanks and never see them and all of a sudden I get killed by an enemy tank out of no where…

confused-unga

i see you are noob or new to the game

a teamate or you need to ping the tank (mark using V key as default ) so it does apear in minimap or map after.

it will apear as a small orange/red’ish colour on minimap/map after a teamate or you marked it.
untill that, no enemy , vehicle, or soldier apear on minimap/map.

to ping/mark the vehicle - aim at it, and press V untill a vehicle red icon apears . multiple V presses might be needed on certain long distances.

for an enemy plane to apear on minimap/map, a friendly or you have to spot it (looking at it at around 200 meters distance) so the grey triangle above the enemy plane on distance goes red.

just help him. its a genuine “friendly” issue/ question . some games the enemy will apear on minimap. i understand him

As a general approach to tanking you should use the minimap to understand the avenues of approach on any given map. Once you understand where the enemy tank is coming from it will be easier to spot.

Aside from movement, the other failproof dead giveaway of live targets is your penetration indicator. It shows green when your shot is likely to pen, yellow on low probability and red if you’re unlikely to pen.
Scanning with the indicator across anything that you recognise as a tank, and watching for friendly troop markers both on screen and minimap should keep you in the fight for longer.

Over time you’ll zero your eye to better recognise the tank wrecks from the live ones, partially by remembering where the wrecks are.

Also don’t forget the assymetry in the game (no MM) so just because you’re in a tank don’t rush head to head with the enemy tank until you can at least ID it. In that way you can poke around corners and try to damage it generally aiming for its gun. Disabling the tank not only takes it out of action, but forces he crew out to repair it, making them vulnerable - kill the crew and you neutralise the tank.
The WT based damage system is pretty lenient here so any tank gun can damage any other tank gun, even if you can’t pen any other area frontally.

Some maps will allow you to flank, but in general flanking is risky because you will get spotted and marked by infantry so unless the other tanker has tunnel vision they will turn to face you.

There are also other weakspots on different tanks that you can learn using the above mentioned penetration indicator on the driving range. Its useful to do some practice before you roll out your tank in the competitive game.

So many cool answers by those who are defending an update because it supposedly gave new players a even ground, really shows that newcomers are the real interest here.

I will answer that with Skill issue.

.just because.

Newcomers should never Not be an interest.
Period.

They will keep the game going, and hopefully infuse new money into it.

And the patch has made so much of this game better, it’s incredible but I have become even more effective with lesser gear.

I parked a whole squad that was a mix of FGs and STGs, for 43s and Mannlichers.

The gameplay is slowed a bit, with tons more flanking and small unit action. I hope they keep it up.

The update has nothing to do with newcomers

Thanks for taking the time to give a decent fair explanation
