I honestly don’t understand how the aircrafts kills works. Who get‘s the aircraft kill of a downed enemy plane? The one who did the critical damage or the one who hits last with just a single low caliber bullet? Sometimes it’s pretty obvious, i.e. when the the enemy planes explodes in your view, but sometimes not.
Examples:
I was in a Stuka and managed to shoot of the upper and lower left wing of an I-153 - no credit…
Another time I shot down the entire tailsection of an IL2 using the 20mm of a BF 109 from a really short distances - no credit…
In both cases I was totally sure that the laws of physic showed those planes the way to the ground. At least I thougt so…
Another example - I shoot the left engine of an A-20 in flames but had to turn. Then I saw this A 20 with a trail of fire going down and crashiing - no credit…
Another time I shoot an IL-2 and saw the hitindicator several times, though I don’t think that I dealt critical damage. A few seconds later this IL-2 crashed and the killfeed showed “whatever playername has killed himself”. I decided to try this out myself just for purpose of understanding how this mechanic works and crashed my plane after I was hit by a pursuing plane - the killfeed showed that the kill was credited to another player and didn’t count as a suicide. Evertime my aircraft is hit, even if the damage is minimal and my plane crashes, even if this because of a flying error by myself minutes after I got hit the killfeed always shows that someone has killed me/shoot down my plane. Don’t get me wrong, I sometimes also get credits for planes which I had seriously damaged in an attack before. I don’t claim any cheating or whatever. I just want to understand this credit-mechanic for planes work.

Sometime you hit a plane. He crash (because he is a bad pilot or just don’t want to fight or suicide bomb). And you recieve nothing.
This should be fixed.
I think for the moment you get the kill if you dealt enough damage to the plane. But maybe it’s just a server sync problem.
