I’ve been playing on PS5 since CBT but recently started playing with a friend who is on PC and he can use text chat and coordinate attacks with the team and not only can we not use this chat on console we can’t even see it.
Please consider implementing this to console, even if off by default or read-only.
Check the newest update before creating a topic 
Go to Options>Game>Show Battle Chat
I have this setting enabled but see no Battle Chat whatsoever, have you witnessed any playing on console? Regardless I assume this also doesn’t let us reply or use the chat if it can be read.
I understand typing with a controller isn’t the greatest, however many games have utilized on-screen keyboards with great success and I among many other player are quite effective at typing with said controller.
