Honestly, I have mixed feeling about the upcoming engineer squads with assault rifle for the US. The Western allies don’t have any assault rifle in the game yet (german main will probably become crazy if the US get a proto assault rifle in their progression tree) and I don’t see the point of using any STG-like over the M2 carbine/T20 rifle. This will likely not change many thing for the US compared to the Germans/Soviet and Japanese.
