Eliminates the squad system

you dont mark enemies in this game
you mark locations

The V? That only works for tank brands and other things. Bots used to react to it but now I see that they are indifferent. How many updates do you not play from? JJAA

Another child Cod for saying that the game is frantic? Are we playing the same game or are you just trying to make me look bad to make you the one who is right? Pathetic. …

This game is to make assembly point near the target, kill kill and kill and capture. Strategy? My eggs strategy.

Chill take:

I’d rather have more fun fighting 10 dumb bots and be killed by n° 8, 9 or 10 if I’m too slow, than fighting 1 competitive human player who always kills me first unless I’m faster than light.

Do i really have to spell it out? 0 imagination these times it seems.

Most usefull on confrontation/destruction/assault with multiple objectives.
Send one or all bots to one point, You can cap the other.
Send one engineer to point, once it’s nearly there swap to it and build a rally point.

On any other map you can still lay down with mg and cover your squad advancing, after 40m switch and repeat.

You don’t have to use it all the time, if you have such massive problem with bots go play lone fighter customs or diffrent game entirely

This whole shit is so entitled and stupid

You sound like those idiots that get their rally mined once they encounter competent enemy, and then wonder why they lose

Personally, this is a love/hate relationship for me, I love that it’s a thing, but I hate when it happens when I have a low damage weapon, since I don’t mind having say, 1-3 rounds in a bolt action since that’s 1-3 kills, but if it’s in an SMG I’m basically just dead if I’m going into combat immediately.

I have never seen this personally, I have yet to even see a video of this occurring, if you got one, I’d love to see it since I love micromanaging my AI some days and never ran into the problem

Just don’t shoot in the direction of your bots, it’s as shrimple as that, I’ve never had the problem of my bots dying to my own flamethrowers (which you can guess by my name I love using), even though they are stupid sometimes. But I can agree that fire works poorly in this game, hoping it’d get fixed later down the road.

1: Each player having their own little AI squad is the gimmick of the game, Lone Fighters was a gamemode that was tested, and it failed horribly

2: Bots can definitely be good, but really it comes down to gear, and in general are still getting improvements with things like pathfinding and detection (basically the issue with AI here lol)

Bots being useful magically (and I’m sure others have had the rare good experience with their AI | Obviously there are bad moments too):

Wdym again? They still shoot through bushes.

AI squaddies are glorified respawns

But there is a big difference between someone who uses comands (x, k, spot) and someone who does not

Bots are not bad because they cant shoot.
They actually have inhumane reflexes and impossible distance accuracy for human players.
Biggest problem of bots is situational awareness.
You place them in some room
Normally in real war, squads works as a team. some soldier guards the corridor/gate against possible incoming infantry and others fire to enemy at outside.
But they just act like sitting ducks, any real player can shread them from behind with smg.
You place them at some ridges, behind wall
They just stand like sitting duck rather then crouching
You order them to stay in trench, some of them just get out of trenches for no reason got hunted immediately.
Even if they crouch or prone, they dont try to get behind some object to cover themselves from enemy fire.
They are literally fighting like napoleonic line soldiers but in ww2
Even brothers in army and bf2 did way better job years ago.
But who cares whilr pumping out new shiny stuff menawhile ai problems are screaming

the guy that uses comands keep the bots alive so he can respawn ?
but the guy who dont just find them dead ?

essentially spot on. Stash them in hard cover near by, then cycle 1 by 1. personal mobile rally points

There are other caveats too like, AI holding position are more likely to kill stuff you have spotted, they concentrate on reacting instead of moving.

Or using them as decoys when necessary. Sometimed i send them one way, while the tank tracks them i come from the other. Dead tank

Oh boy, this is a can of worms that hasn’t been opened in forever, so lets get started shall we.

The gamemode you are asking for existed at one point, it was called lone fighters. It was scrapped and relegated to custom games because there weren’t enough players. Thus no, what you are asking for will never happen because it has already been tried and it failed. The reason for this is because the bots are literally the primary gimmick of the game, and removing it removes the character of the game. Yes, the bots can be a bit of a nuisance sometimes, but without them the game just feels empty (also without the bots I would have no competent teammates). So no, the bots stay, and the devs should simply keep improving them.
