yeah thats an option, but enlisted cant afford the hard player number drop from that.
even with bigger numbers than atm its still more profitable to keep the whales spend trillions on stomping the masses than letting the masses escape to PvE.

We already got PvE modes in form of time limited events.
DF literally already introduced PvE.

I think if AI can’t be improved, nerf player performance will be enough.
Make all weapons have greater recoil and take much longer to reload, so that players cannot serve as one man army and be forced to takes AI serious.
This is much simpler than improve AI.

I would just quit the game. I don’t want to play reload simulator. I do enjoy fast paced gameplay of enlisted. This would drastically change gunplay. And definitely only to worse.

And I don’t even understand this obsession for better AI. I want to be the one who’s shooting and enjoying gun play. I don’t need to be carried by AIs.

Just don’t rely on your AI soldiers. You’re the one playing the game. AIs is just a placeholder, an artificial targets for less experienced people to shoot at and have fun against. There’s plenty of people that struggle even now, lol.

It’s really pathetic to rely on your AI surviving for longer period of time. This game is definitely about that.

Ai is bad at following orders and doing strategic decisions but also really annoying to fight against. They will shoot you through foliage, quickscope you from 300m and insta stab you on melee distance. If we make the players actions more slower ai will be extra annoying

We forwarded a big and good feedback about AI problems, so devs aware of many issues and working on them.

Hard disagree. The game is advertised as “you lead a squad of soldiers” and I want to do exactly that.
I want to give them commands, take shooting positions, storm a building, employ some basic small unit tactics, be an actual squad leader. With current AI I can at most lead a “”“charge”“” of lemmings (it’s not even a charge).
If somebody doesn’t like that there is always the lone fighter mode.

You can already do all of it. It’s just not effective. And I don’t see why AI should be more effective than players are.
I don’t want to play game just to be carried by my bots, lol.

I just want AI to not suck and be able to follow basic orders and tactics and be useful at all.
Now I can order them to hold position, look in the direction and they will get slaughtered with body advantage 7:1.

I never said you said that. :man_shrugging: It would only logically lead to that. Enlisted never had the ambition to be some de facto iteration of ww2 themed ARMA-like game where you could command your squad. Something like that would never have a chance to succeed in a free to play format.
It’s not the developers fault that you just got it wrong.

Squad in enlisted definitely has a tactical role in the game and definitely affects it’s gameplay. The fact that the gameplay doesn’t reflect ww2 historical and real tactics is the other thing. And entirely seperate topic.

Enlisted is definitely still true to how it was marketed

Why? I do enjoy Enlisted the way it was intended to be. I don’t need some drastic changes to AI that would completely change whole gameplay.
I do enjoy spraying whole squads of bots. It’s relaxing.

Why not? Commanding AI is just another mechanic /gameplay style to learn and it’s fully optional.
Or rather it would be optional after buffs, now it’s undesirable due to how ineffective it is.
But you would still be able to play like now. The only difference being that if you frontally charge 5 AIs looking at you, you won’t win and that’s reasonable imo.

At least this is the ideal scenario. Knowing devs they will simply crank up agro meter so they shoot you through 10 bushes on the other side of the map and call it a day.

Imo it’s boring after some time. You just spray some moving targets that don’t return fire nor take cover. But sometimes they look angrily at you so to be fair, there is some tension.

Players can do better
AI will only short burst in distance with stupid dispersion
Pure luck issue if you gets hit

You’re literally contradicting yourself. And you just literally confirmed that I was right in what I wrote above :point_up_2:

You want your AI to absolutely crush players who wouldn’t use their AI in the same way.
Which is really totally bizarre, considering the skill level of the average Enlisted player.
What you want would completely change the target audience of Enlisted. Plus it would be more of a tactical game than an FPS game. The FPS aspect would be overwhelmingly neglected at the expense of tactics.

I would not enjoy constantly commanding my squad instead of shooting and actually actively playing the game myself.
I really can’t imagine that the game would be fun in any way if bossing your squad played a bigger role than actual FPS aspect of the game.

I dont know maybe because the maps are so small and objectives are usually just one house/room

You will always be the one shoot the most.
But one man army gameplay should lose to those have same skill but better at using AI as tactical advantages.

Weird because according to the game itself, we lead a squad so we kinda should rely on them because otherwise squad is pointless beyond extra lives.
