So you only implied I want this which is also false.
Last time I did it you’ve called me intellectually dishonest and manipulative but whatever, lets leave it here.
Why not? Commanding AI is just another mechanic /gameplay style to learn and it’s fully optional.
Or rather it would be optional after buffs, now it’s undesirable due to how ineffective it is.
But you would still be able to play like now. The only difference being that if you frontally charge 5 AIs looking at you, you won’t win and that’s reasonable imo.
At least this is the ideal scenario. Knowing devs they will simply crank up agro meter so they shoot you through 10 bushes on the other side of the map and call it a day.
Yeah, I guess it’s totally my fault that marketing campaign gave me the wrong impression of the game by stating “lead a squad of soldiers”. It’s not like gajin has a whole dapartment dedicated to this.
As extra spawns hidden in a nearby building. Such an engaging gameplay!
Imo it’s boring after some time. You just spray some moving targets that don’t return fire nor take cover. But sometimes they look angrily at you so to be fair, there is some tension.
Players can do better
AI will only short burst in distance with stupid dispersion
Pure luck issue if you gets hit
So why do you appear so close?
If you recklessly ignore the enemy around the corner, whether it is the AI or the player, it is very reasonable to be killed.
Wtf? So according to you, this would not have been the result of what you asked for. I literally don’t understand your point. But you’re obviously taking this way too personally.
You’re literally contradicting yourself. And you just literally confirmed that I was right in what I wrote above
You want your AI to absolutely crush players who wouldn’t use their AI in the same way.
Which is really totally bizarre, considering the skill level of the average Enlisted player.
What you want would completely change the target audience of Enlisted. Plus it would be more of a tactical game than an FPS game. The FPS aspect would be overwhelmingly neglected at the expense of tactics.
Well, that’s literally what enlisted is
I would not enjoy constantly commanding my squad instead of shooting and actually actively playing the game myself.
I really can’t imagine that the game would be fun in any way if bossing your squad played a bigger role than actual FPS aspect of the game.
You will always be the one shoot the most.
But one man army gameplay should lose to those have same skill but better at using AI as tactical advantages.
AI is a major feature of enlisted
Otherwise I think it’d just get lost in the endless fast food games
I think many of enlisted players do have visions for more AI based gameplay
It may be but doesn’t have to. Depends on the execution, like always.
Probably.
So according to you if a player (alone) frontally attacks a whole squad of AI that is aiming at him, he should win or otherwise it’s “crushing players”? Sure…
No, you wouldn’t have to use AI the same way. You still will be able to rambo arround, just with one more braincell as AI won’t defenceless. So instead of rushing a squad frontally, you need to flank it. Trully tactic worthy of Napoleon himself.
I didn’t say it would play bigger role but equal (ideally).
Two gameplay styles:
rambo - you run around and shoot stuff like in any other fps
commander - you order your AIs and they are useful
They are not good at anyting. Killing, hiding, taking cover, fucking moving.
They are useful only as extra spawns hidden in a building or as bodies on the objective when it’s already captured. And even with those roles they suck hard as they are defenceless and can randomly walk away and die.
Yeah so most of the player base wants to improve them, at least don’t act like a running sandbag with a gun.
Just change the squad’s firepower distribution from 1+0.05 to more like 0.8+0.3.
This has a ton of benefits, as Enlisted, a game with a lack of players, will be able to maintain same challenge and balance with more pure AI squads.
For example, adjust 10 player team to 8 player squad +5 AI squad.
