My issue is he is saying one plane. Its MANY planes across all campaigns and not just āRussian bias OPā
Ok so lets put it like this. If i experience one side shooting at me and most of the times they only have to touch me and im pretty hardly hurt and i have to basically empty an mag then go back and refill and empty one more. Dont you think its something you react to ? Especially when youre riding in an Top upgraded Fighter plane against an hvy Attack plane ? If you dont then i cant help you there bud to understand what im saying ^^
Lmao YES I AGREE. There are issues like this for every faction and not solely Russians which you would know if you played anything else. They need model reworks

Yeah the other campaigns i dont know much about rn so im just sticking to this issue. But ofc if theres problems elsewhere there should be fixing for sure if it goes good in line within that campaign to ofc
The JU 188 in Normandy is another one so is the P47. Trust me it isnt just one side, their models are very weird just like tanks
yeah im heading in to Normandy soon so going to be fun comming away from this eastern hellhole and will prob react to that as you say. But i love Moscow maps though, not the stacked Russian teams most of the time xD but its good learning curve and had some really good memorable dogfights to asw as fights in general <3

Yes i agree. But it is quite obvious (atleast to me who have flown extensivly for both sides). That the IL-2 in moscow in particular is extra tanky. So i will admit that there is a little bias in only calling out the IL-2. but to say that other planes are just as bad is a bit wrong. They are bad and should be reworked, but they are not IL 2 bad.
Donāt go to Berlin then. Not so much stacked Russians but completely brain dead Axis teams who avoid the objective at all costs
You might want to research the history of the IL-2 a bit. They have a reputation.
I canāt comment on your flying, everyone has their own style. Only a couple of observations that we (and maybe you?) donāt know:
Was the IL-2 you were shooting at fully upgraded?
How experienced was the enemy pilot?
What was the condition (damage model) of the enemy aircraft? I didnāt see any obvious grey plumes exiting the aircraft, and thatās usually what I look for to indicate engine or fuel system hitsā¦mostly because every plane in this game already leaves a smoke trail even if theyāre in perfect condition.
On a more helpful note, from what I can tell you were chasing the aiming pip for the first 3:20 of that dogfight. Once you got into position to lead it, you were out of 15mm. I think that was the key aspect of the battle. If you had been able to throw even 20 rounds of 15mm into your burst at 3:28-3:35, my guess is pilot and plane kill.
I also think it might be worthwhile to have two people who can coordinate in a custom match try and test this a little more, because my experience against the IL-2 hasnāt frustrated me at all. I use stock vehicles (level 33) on both sides of the Moscow campaign, when I play it.
Food for thought:
Iām a PE-3 fan, myself. The Sb-2m is interesting but Iām not trying to farm kills to enemy pilots, so thatās a no go (for now).
I think things will get a lot more interesting in the future if they put in the rear seat gunners, so enjoy those lazy 6 oāclock high closing attacks while you can. 
same here ^^ But happens that theres some really good German team play asw. Love it when theres from both sides to the end but its rare like 2/10 i believe recently. Been gaming since this morning around 7 hours now and we won 4 times or something xD
Ive maxed Berlin for both but my god the German teams are just so horrible almost every match. If we win its very close
Weird since ive heard every good player is in Berlin farming for the Tiger. Could be over with that then as they got it ^^
Yes it was when the Tiger came out. Had very good Axis games then but it seems most players got it and left. Its normal though when the new toy comes out. There are still good games just far fewer
Yeah there was some mistakes i did as i used flaps to early sometimes and so on but wasnt crucial since i was on the upper position anyways and waiting in for a good turn to tail him. And my shooting wasnt spot on at times to for sure ^^ but like i said it was 6 in the morning and just woke up so i wasnt warmed up at all ^^ Also i thought i heard AA couple of times earlier to so is the reason why i didnt want to sit still in mid air mostly tailing which made me better to be safe then sorry and went for side shots to then reengage with back side flips which usually works against Il2s. Usually i do these if im suspecting AA around if not i just glide in behind to aim better depending on how that pilot reacts ofcā¦
To me he was an decent pilot but made many mistakes from what im used to when meeting rly good IL2 pilots. He had some chances to hurt me as well sideways which was one of mine exposing myself like that even if i was on my guard to cut to the side it could have ended thereā¦but he turned the other way strangely. He did an really good back sideflip turn though which i was impressed about 
which i think that damn plane shouldnt be able to do ^^

So this got me interested in the real IL2 a bit so even tho i donāt like giving quotes from wiki becauseā¦ wiki, hereās an interesting fact about this plane.
āThe armored tub, ranging from 5 to 12 mm (0.20 to 0.47 in) thickness and enveloping the engine and the cockpit, could deflect ALL small arms fire and GLANCING blows from larger-caliber ammunitionā
So basicaly the IL2 would be impervious to the 8mm MG17 but still get shredded by 15 and 20mm rounds.
So if the damage of those guns was buffed on the BF109 so it could take down the IL2 with them, it would be quite realistic imho.
That confused me too; he had you clean and clear at least once, why he didnāt shoot I have no idea other than he was out of ammo and didnāt want to risk the rearm.
4 bombs doth not a carpet make. It is an excellent ground attack and sort-of-dog-fighter, for my particular flying style, at any rate. Speaking of carpet bombing, I tried the Ju-188 in Normandy the other day, talk about feeling like your trousers are downā¦
No offense, but IMO this game will never be esports or anything to get super serious about. I love the hell out of it, and it does so many things so much better than Red Orchestra 2, which is why I play it, but why on Earth would you need to start playing this first thing in the morning? I need 15 minutes to remember what day of the week it is, let alone go up against people half or maybe even a quarter of my age (47).
Yes but youre forgetting all the other planes asw in their rooster. Buffing the guns on the BF will make it even more an killing machine against them. The other bombers are easier to kill so to speak
But yeah their rounded figure among the armor had me thinking if it reflects off perhaps. Like their tanks so to speak. How ever theres times when they had their belly and other angles contradicting this and been peppered to hell there to from close range and still shook it of like nothing happened. But theres other times where i killed them pretty fast to on similar approaches which made me wonder what the hell ^^
