Effective use of ai squad tips and tricks

I wanted to see if anyone had more tips or tactics that they’ve found worked well for using the ai squads. They are a vulnerable but potentially powerful tool but I think you have to know a bit about it to get the most out of them.
Things like:

  • when they are stationary your enemy marks will get their attention to face certain threats.
  • when they are moving either from orders or following you they are much worse at attacking and responding to threats, having them stay put instead of always following you around a small area can make them more effective.
  • you can have multiple engineers and then place down several build templates and give a build order to them to make multiple things at once or build things faster by having them help you build.
  • sitting back and ordering your squad onto the objective or into defence positions can draw enemy fire while you return fire at them, don’t be afraid to send your squad forward they’re all going to get shot either way :stuck_out_tongue:
-Rebind cycle squad member to something easier to quickly jump between a big squad or different classes.
  • hiding your squad just behind your position can let them function as a pool of extra lives.

Just this+ role of engineer(s) and radio. AI in the current state is pretty useless though AI with MGs usually make some kills somehow.

that’s brilliant with the engineers. i’ll have to try that with my engi squad. with four at once you could get a whole lote done.

Btw I tested with my engi squad with five engis. seems to be a max of three blueprints you can queue up.

Can any engineer squad have more than 4 engineers though? 3 orders + player building.

I found it useful for building 3 tank traps across a road simultaneously or to build a sandbag on every door at once.

engineer 2 squad can have 5 total
