Easy step for the dev´s but a big step for playerkind

→ Step 1. Add new cosmitizations (was told there are allready a lot)
→ Step 2. Add all existing camouflages to every tank of there faction (using erika kalkbrenners method)
→ Step 3. Get payed well

well, as much i love customization, it’s not really a priority for developers. ( yes… even though you can spend money on it )

don’t have much to say beside i did forwarded the various inconsistencies and include various missing pieces that should be present because the pants / tunic or headgears were available, but not in the others slots.

i have been refrained to discuss any further or specific details.

what i can disclose though, is the way it currently works ( as i see no reason to hide it )

customization is currently, sort of a nightmare.

because if you want to add a single item, you’ll have to add it for every single squad across several presets and not campaigns as one may believe.
which means, having to change 110+ squads in some instances across 4 different presets ( presets are campaigns themed cosmetics ) . ( so technically, quadruple the work in germany’s or US case )

hence, it’s a long, long and tiresome work.
which it’s why it will take a long time to fix.

even though, i’ll say that they sort of putted them selves in this position.
because they still refused to simplify the customization by making it biome based instead of campaign based.
of which they kept using the HA excuse to this day.
because yeah. makes sense using volkksturm weapons in moscow or any other other campaign that is not berlin / ardenne, yet it’s problematic being able to use a gosh darn gray uniform everywhere.
which it’s funny, because even the customization it self, the selection that they chose, is still non historical and anachronistic in some campaigns ( for example, pea dots in moscow or stalingrad ).

and worse, we’ll most likely get only tunic components.
as it goes for right pouches and what not, it’s going to be additional 4 years or so.
because despite having provided editor combinations with the code, i have been specifically told that the name of items are different from the editor, and the base game.

so, it’s a clear indication that its going to be half assed again.
but better than nothing i suppose. they are aware and knowledge the various issues though.

it would be cool, and was forwarded by some helpers.

now we’ll have to wait for those to be implemented too.

unlike the customization, camouflages should be easier because are tied to vehicles opposed to squads unlike clothings.

which, there aren’t too many vehicles in each faction ( somewhere around 20 / 30 per faction ) and those have separate template where you just need to put the actual texture / id.

but, even if simple, this might come out in years down the line.
most because things do take time before actually getting done whether be simpler or difficult.

as, it was mentioned in the “”“roadmap”“” but yeah it could mean anything or nothing at all.

unironically, it’s the least used type of microtransaction.

i mean, can’t really blaim people for having such as terrible cosmetic menu that you have to buy 4 times the same item accross many squads.

or how a camouflage doesn’t really matter since you will end up in the very campaign where you’ll stick out like a sore thumb.

so… i have reasons to speculate that there aren’t mean micros done to the customization.
and why it’s taking ages to get fixed.

but again, my own thoughts and speculations.
i could be wrong about the last part, or about everything.

i’ll leave it at that.
