It has become very apparent that it is practically impossible to win any matches without engineers building spawn points and ammo deposits.
If no one ever builds them, there is no gain for the whole team.
Therefore I suggest that especially for the new player motivation to open up engineers and to build spawn points and ammo deposits rewards in point wise should be increased considerably.
Here is my “Price list” for the new set-up that I am suggesting:
Building a spawn point - 200 points.
Building an ammo depot - 70 points.
Someone takes ammo from your point - 20 points.
Someone spawns from your spawn point -30 points.
By making building these things lucrative enough, the game starts to favor building teams that have at least one engineer each. This also reduces the amount of automatic weapons on the maps a bit and increases the feeling of playing in a team, with team members.
Building a spawn point takes effort and usually some of your own squad members die while doing that, therefore it should be rewarded generously if successful.
Also destroying a tank should yield way more points, however that is a different discussion.
Any opinions/ Ideas/ Input from other forum members?
But I like the idea in general. Some points would be nice but 200 is way over the top. The 15 points for a squad that spawns from your rally point are fine imho.
The problem people don’t use engineer properly is because they are kill hungry. A lot of players look for the KD aspect or kill count in general not so much about how your team performs in the end.
I dont think 200 points for setting up one is too much:
Reasons:
People are still playing this game and as you mentioned, the generally go after the KD:s instead of team success overall. Primarily because people are lazy/ dont give a hmm? Anyway, I hope you catch my point?
You still get to build only 1 of those spawn points per. Engineer/ player, which means that once you put in the effort it is a done deal and there is no more of that for a long time anyway.
Majority of the players would NOT BUILD them anyway, no matter how many points they would yield in order to set up. They either:
A: Dont have engineers in their teams.
B: They are serious Noobs and have not yet unlocked engineers/ Dont understand how they work in the game.
C: They are completely unmotivated over the whole aspect of the game and just want to do some serious killing.
Therefore, 200 points is absolutely nothing if you think about it?
Also, destroying enemy Spawn points and ammo deposits should give some points too. It would only make sense? Now you can destroy them but they yield absolutely nothing which is kind of weird if you ask me?
Personally, I believe in favoring the team players in those listings a lot more?
Sure, KD is a thing, however winning/ loosing a match is also very important and favoring team players over the “lone wolwes” that just run around like headless chickens and mow down people with MG:s/ Die without any reason in the game…
… Yeah, I prefer the team players a lot more, more fun and it would shift the focus just a small bit more towards the team play aspect which would only be a healthy direction to go.
I would rather crank up just the bonus from your structures actually being used to a higher degree, than increase the bonus for building them much. Helps incentivize not just making rally points, but making good ones that really help the team.
Nonetheless, something has to be done in order to shift the game rewarding more team effort and dragging engineers in each squad just to be sure that your team has even a change of winning.
All the structures could easily yield a LOT more, that would also motivate people to do some common good in the game.
Killing people should worth less than how they are now, since 80% of the kills is AI. They should recompense more on tactical things such as rally, ammo, objective defense etc.
And i suggest lower a bit point for building rally (cuz it can be abused easily) and increase the point significantly for spawning on rally.
Agreed in principle, however lowering the kill points is not necessary. It would just leave a very bad taste for all the players in the game and moving up in campaigns is very hard already.
Increasing the points for rally, ammo, objective defense etc. Is clearly the way to go.
True. It feels like I’m the only one looking for strategically important enemy spawn points to get my team a edge.
But I still think 200 is too much. 50 or 100 points would be more reasonable to me. I could easily kill 2 or 3 people in the time it takes to build a rally point. However placing a great flank sometimes takes much more effort.
I support point 3 to enhance the amount of received points for spawning team mates on your point.
200 points for building a spawn point? Just imagine all the engineer squads building spawn points the whole time - 5m away of their starting point.
I’d like to add that we don’t seem to get points for players spawning on our beacons. I NEVER see “…. XP ….” messages when players spawn on my beacon.
Perhaps we get the exp but there’s no on screen message?
The low exp given for having beacons the entire match leads me believe that players that build active beacons the entire match are NOT getting exp per troop that spawns on the beacon.
I’ve always run beacons in Battlefield games and I’m used to keeping track of my exp via my beacon “per spawn in”. I just don’t see that constant flood of “spawn exp” messages in Enlisted like I do in Battlefield when literally my entire team spawns on my beacon the entire match playing Enlisted.
It would be nice to know if we have an active beacon up.
Say we get a beacon up on the first push to attack then swap to a tank. Is my beacon still up? I’m not seeing exp per spawn messages and there’s nothing on my HUD letting me know my beacon is still deployed.
A beacon icon on our HUD when we have a beacon active would be nice. That’s regardless of whatever unit we have respawned into. The beacon icon could pulse to show every time it’s used so we know it’s active.
It would also be nice to see “spawn xp” messages as long as our beacon is active regardless if we switched to new unit or not.
The only way to track if have a spawn point up after that is either by eng points (if only builded a spawn point) bn added on score board (the tool symbol part on the leaderbord)
Or, spawn another eng soldier, man the hammer and see the minimap if the beacon icon is still present where you did build it/or select another spawn Beason on the hammer and the building template isn’t green on a flat terrain(if it’s yellow, your previous point is still running)
Either way is a hit and miss, you will only really focus in having them, on the spawn part.
If you play as another squad after you build one, forget about said spawn point. Focus again on it, if the batle moves to another point or you notice it’s destroyed on The spawn menu.
Regarding points, as long as the team keeps spawning in them, and or the spawn point is visible every time you are at the spawn menu, the score will keep bn added without a message.
It would just be very informative if we could continue to receive exp messages and have a little spawn beacon icon on our HUD as long as our beacon is deployed regardless of what unit we have deployed x
I’m all for minimal HUD but this is crucial info we really should have access to the entire match.
